What is storyboarding?• Storyboarding is the process of planning and

creating a visual script with a series of sketches and notes.

• Storyboarding is part of the preproduction phase of video production.

Why is storyboarding important?

• A visual script is usually much easier to understand than a written script.

• Visual planning helps us make sure our message is clear before we begin filming.

• Storyboarding avoids wasted work recreating scenes, speeds editing, and helps ensure our story will fit in the time given.
