Welcome To Annunciation Parish, The Roman Catholic Community of Newington
Whether you are a long-time parishioner, a returning parishioner, a new parishioner, or a visitor, welcome to our
community. We are glad that you are here and hope that you feel at home. If you are not already a member of our
parish, please consider joining us. If you are a member of our parish already, please consider joining one of our
ministries.
The Catholic Church welcomes new members of all ages. Children are welcomed into our faith through the
sacrament of Baptism. Adults can either join our faith, or complete their sacraments of initiation through our
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) or our Adult Confirmation program. If you are interested in any of
these programs, please contact Deacon Jim Tanguay at [email protected] ,
or call (860) 666-1591, ext. 3.

DALY NOTES
Please welcome into our parish family the
following children, who were baptized at
Annunciation Parish:
Mila Melanie Correa
Cody Ryker Lozier
Alexander Chigozie Okorie

Baptism is a joyous occasion in which
children are initiated into the Catholic faith.
All children are welcome to be baptized in the
Catholic Church. It does not matter if the
parents are single or married outside the
Catholic Church. ALL CHILDREN no matter
what, are welcome to the baptism of the Lord,
as long as they will be raised Catholic.
To get started, please visit our website
www.AnnunciationNewington.com, and
complete our online Baptism Request form, and
someone from our office will contact you to

BAPTISM
Sept. 8th – 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Whoever does not carry his own cross and
come after me cannot be my disciple. Having a
loose grasp on those people and things that
rightly belong to God is required of every
follower. Can you let go? If you can let go to
follow as a priest or religious, call Fr. Michael
Casey, Director of Vocations, Pastoral Center,
860-761-7456, e-mail [email protected] or
visit the web at www.hartfordpriest.com.
VOCATIONS
Classes will resume in the Fall
on September 15, 2019 at JWMS
for the 2019 – 2020 Religious Ed year.
Re registration forms and calendars for the
2019 – 2020 Religious Ed school year have
been mailed out to new and returning
families. Please return registration forms as
soon as possible as classes are being
formed for 2019/2020.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
This is my favorite time of year. Some people say that Labor Day is the end of summer. I like
to think that here in New England summer continues into October. Sue Skipp and Terri
Hermann have been busy all summer getting ready for the 2019-2020 Religious Education year.
We thank all of our catechists who share their Sundays to teach our children the Catholic faith.
We welcome all of our students, and look forward to a great year! Please join me in prayer for
teachers and students:
Lord God,
source of all wisdom and knowledge,
you sent your Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us
and to proclaim his message of faith, hope, and love to all nations.
In your goodness,
bless our brothers and sisters
who have offered themselves as catechists for your Church.
Strengthen them with your gifts,
that they may teach by word and by example
the truth that comes from you.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
