Mass Confusion??? The Liturgy of the Eucharist
I received from the Lord what I also delivered to
you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me’” (1 Corinthians 12:23-25).
The Mass is the Sacrifice of Christ and the Banquet of his Body and Blood. It is the mystery of Christ’s Cross and Resurrection made present in our “here and now,” the foretaste on earth of “what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9) at the heavenly “Supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9).
The Liturgy of the Eucharist unfolds in three movements: the Preparation of the Gifts, the Eucharistic Prayer, and the breaking of the Eucharistic Bread to be given in Holy Communion. The Mass thus corresponds precisely to the words and actions of Christ: “When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them” (Luke 24:30).

A Special Thank You
A Heartfelt thank you to all who offered prayers and/or sent cards and special notes letting me know that you were thinking and praying for me. I am filled with overwhelming gratitude to each of you who reached out in so many ways to me during my Rehab stay. I know that it was your prayers that helped me to recover so quickly.
There are so many of you to whom I owe so much; I can only ask our Heavenly Father to reward you and your families with abundant blessings.
I think the Post Office in Cullman had to add extra staff in order to handle all the mail that had to be delivered to Sacred Heart Monastery every day.

Stewardship
“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So often we think we have nothing to give or that we are powerless to make a difference. Once we realize that we are God's and act out of God's grace, then our weakness is made perfect through the power of Christ.
