To Christ, King of the Universe
O Christ Jesus, I acknowledge You King of the Universe. All that has been
created has been made for You. Exercise upon me all Your rights. I renew my
baptismal promises renouncing Satan and all his works and pomps.
I promise to lead a good Christian life and to do all in my power to procure
the triumph of the rights of God and Your Church. Divine Heart of Jesus,
I offer You my poor actions in order to obtain that all hearts may acknowledge
Your sacred royalty and that thus the reign of Your peace may be established
To schedule a Baptism, please contact the rectory for an
initial meeting and a parent preparation session.
Marriage
Please call the rectory at least six months in advance.
Couples meet with the priest for an initial pastoral
conversation before a wedding date can be set. Please do
not make other plans until a date has been confirmed with
your parish.
For the Sick
We are happy to visit with the homebound. If you or a
loved one would like a home visit, Holy Communion or
the Anointing of the Sick, please contact the rectory office.

Welcome To Annunciation Parish!
Uniting The Catholic Community of Newington, Established June 29th, 2017
If you are new to our parish or if you have been away from the practice of the faith, we extend a warm welcome and hope you feel at home here. Our parish is nourished by your presence today. We invite you to introduce yourself to the priest or deacon after Mass so that we can greet you. We hope you will make Annunciation Parish YOUR parish.
All children are welcome to be baptized in the Catholic Church. It does not matter if the parents are single or married outside the Catholic Church. ALL CHILDREN no matter what, are welcome to the baptism of the Lord, as long as they will be raised Catholic. Annunciation Parish usually offers baptisms on the first and third Sundays. To get started, please call the parish office - Saint Mary (860-666-1591) or Holy Spirit (860-666-5671). We can’t wait to welcome your child into the life of Christ and our Church through Baptism.

Readings for the Week of November 25th, 2018
First Reading: Daniel 7:13-14
The mysterious “Son of Man” (Jesus) returns as a king whose
dominion is everlasting.
Second Reading: Revelation 1:5-8
The resurrection of Jesus is equivalent to His installation as the
universal king. It also inaugurates a new age. Being in the kingdom
means being under God’s rule.
Gospel: John 18:33b-37
This scene finds Jesus telling Pilate that He is indeed a king, but
one whose kingdom “is not here.” He came to testify to the truth,
which prompts Pilate’s famous unanswered question.
Daly Notes
With the celebration of Thanksgiving over, we officially enter the holiday season.
Next Sunday we will begin the season of Advent. We often miss Advent's power because
these weeks are full of parties and preparations for Christmas. Each year, the
busyness of this season serves to distract us from having an Advent season that truly
prepares us for the celebration of Christmas, with all its meaning.
So this year we have decided to make things a little more convenient for you.
In addition to our regular confessions times on Saturdays, there will be confessions:
Wednesday, December 12th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Saint Mary Church and
Wednesday, December 19th from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Holy Spirit Church.
We will also have confessions on Christmas Eve from 10:00 am to 12 Noon at Holy
Spirit Church. I hope you will be able to take advantage of these additional hours to
celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation this Advent.
Peace,
Father Shawn
