CRIME SAFETY TIPS
Isolation is opportunity for crime. Use these tips to help protect you:
Program into your cell phone a contact with the name ICE (for "In Case of Emergency")
followed by an emergency contact person and their number. For example, set up a contact in your phone for your father, using "ICE – John Jones Dad" followed by your father's phone number.
Program 911, the local emergency number, into a one-touch button on your cell phone to report emergencies.
Look around — be mindful of your surroundings when walking to and from parking areas.
Work and study in well-populated areas.
Have your keys in your hand before you walk to your car or building.
Share a code word or code phrase with someone close to you. This way, you can secretly alert them that you are having a problem and to discreetly call the Public Safety immediately.
Trust your instincts, if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.

3. Go to a safe area (outside Gathering Point) and call the site security or 9-1-1 for local police.
4. Provide the name of the building, floor and room number where the fire is located.
5. State whether the building is occupied.

9. STAY ON THE TELEPHONE and offer further assistance.
