SEMINAR IN REGAL COLLEGE:

ENLIGHTENING THE DARKNESS in collaboration with ICE STUDENT CAHPTER UET TAXILA has arranged

a career counselling seminar on December 14th,2018 in Regal College, Taxila. It started exactly at 10:00

am and ended on 12:00 pm .

Some members of our team went to college, after taking permission from college administration. It

was indeed very good experience for us. Its content includes introduction of UET taxila, admission

guidance, introduction of ICE, Introduction of ETD and general motivation of student. The basic

purpose was to motivate students that they can enlighten the life of others in different ways.. We had

some games there. The response of students was very appreciating.

Aims and Objectives:

As already discussed above, the aim of our team visit to this college is to guide the

students regarding the admission in different universities, importance of entry test, how to prepare for

it, About life of UET taxila, what is the value of engineering from this university and other such

important information. For this purpose, we had speakers which were itself students of UET taxila, they

had guided them according to best of their knowledge and experience.

Further we guided them related to importance of social work, the aim of our project and

general motivational session at the end was also arranged.

Impact on the students:

The future of every country is dependent upon its students. In this modern era

technologies and innovations, our students have to support not only their families but also the whole

nation. This is possible only by providing them effective education. Unfortunately in our country, the

education is not provided to every child and the main reason beyond it is financial issues and that’s

why our literacy rate in at extreme decline stage.

We have to support these students financially, make them independent in society, provide them with

a little spark that guide them toward their dreams.

The success of country is totally dependent upon our youth. In order to improve our present condition,

we have to mentally prepare every single student how to cope with modern world.

Our Team:

All the team members were students of UET taxila of different departments. There were 8 members ,

out of which 6 were speakers and 2 of management team Following members of our team are part of

Question Session

Challengers:

It took a bit of hard work to arrange the seminar as it was the new type of seminar. First of

all, the objectives had to be defined, which we did by combined discussion with the event

heads and members. Then we had to find the dates and time, and to find the suitable mentor

or speaker for this seminar. After finding the speaker we had to manage the timing and date

and also the arrival of the speakers.

Summary of Seminar:

The event was organized on the rainy day of Tuesday, 26th February 2019.The room # 01 of

Civil Engineering Department UET Taxila was staged for this seminar. Stage was organized

by the event heads, executive members and also general members. The seminar started on

its time with the recitation and National Anthem.

In first phase doctor Haseeb Ahsan came and introduced the topic, its history. In second phase

dr. explained as how the modern education came into its existence as it is in today’s time, and

their effects on the students. In the last phase dr. summarized the topic with the beautiful

ending.

Sir Asif Rasheed came up with his experiences. And how he faced the changes in the modes

of education. And what new things have evolved in engineering and fields. What necessary

steps to be taken to resolve the complexities being faced.

Description:

It dates back to 20 Nov, 2018 in Lahore. A gathering was arranged by the FAST NUCES to celebrate the Institute

of Civil Engineering (ICE) bicentennial. All the presidents of different ICE student Chapters across Pakistan

cheered up the gathering. Merely it was not just a celebration but a platform to share ideas for the betterment

of ICE and Civil engineering as a whole. Shoaib Akbar president ICE UET Taxila came up with the idea that we

should be organizing ICE Annual Dinner between ICE Student chapters each year. The purpose was to mark the

importance of that region with respect to civil engineering. Pakistan being a canopy of diverse culture it would

be an opportunity for those student chapters to visit and learn about the cultures residing. Everyone

appreciated the idea and unanimously decided to give hosting of 1st All Pakistan ICE Annual Dinner to UET

Taxila.

Introduction:

On March 16th,2019 envoys from different student chapters of ICE, all over Pakistan, came together to attend the FIRST ever annual

dinner of ICE, hosted by ICE UET Taxila in the heart of Wah City at Wah Continental Hotel. Every envoy presented their Student Chapter Past achievements, ongoing projects and the much-anticipated plans for the future, which

was very well received by an excited and committed audience. The Premieres of each chapter also shared some words of wisdom. A

few extremely mesmerizing cultural performances were also made part of the event, which added much to the ambience and lifted up

the mood of attendees. It was a stupendous night filled with glamor, excitement, commitment and a reiterated determination for

hopefully which will be a very bright future.

III. Venue:

UET Taxila is a mini Pakistan where students from across Pakistan are taking their technical education.

Having diverse culture each year they arranged parties to show a touch of their culture. That’s why to

show our mini Pakistan to our guests there should be a feasible place to organize the dinner. No one

denies the importance of WAH CONTINENTAL HOTEL because they had a good reputation of quality

service and food. Beside having expensive charges event heads decided to organize the dinner there.

IV. Transport:

Management comes through experience and for this a person should leave his/her comfort zone and

hustle for it. Chief organizers subdivided the event into mini parts and each part was led by another

head. Transportation being the backbone so its charge was assigned to Mr. Fahad Khan Khattak and

Mr. Ibrahim Usman executive members of ICE UET Taxila. They coordinated with UET Transportation

and arranged a luxury bus for pick and drop. Not only this facility but also arranged a separate wagon

for our guests to drop them off to saddar. Transport facility was also provided for girls of Ayesha hall to

drop them off prior to closing of gates.

INTRODUCTION

Team ICE arranged different types of guidance, motivational and fun seminars at different colleges and

and provide them assistance without involvement of any external organization. Our source of funds

are firstly the faculty members of different departments and then students.

students regarding the admission in different universities, importance of entry test, how to prepare for

it, About life of UET Taxila, what is the value of engineering from this university and other such

important information. For this purpose, we had speakers which were itself students of UET Taxila,

Impact on the society:

The first thing that strikes us about education is knowledge gain. Education gives us a knowledge of the

world around us and changes it into something better. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life.

It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. People debate over the subject of

whether education is the only thing that gives knowledge. Some say education is the process of gaining

information about the surrounding world while knowledge is something very different. They are right.

But then again, information cannot be converted into knowledge without education. Education makes

us capable of interpreting things, among other things. It is not just about lessons in textbooks. It is

about the lessons of life. One thing I wish I can do is, to provide education for all: no child left behind

and change the world for good!!

The future of every country is dependent upon its students. In this modern era technologies and

innovations, our students have to support not only their families but also the whole nation. This is

possible only by providing them effective education. Unfortunately in our country, the education is not

provided to every child and the main reason beyond it is financial issues and that’s why our literacy

rate in at extreme decline stage.

We have to support these students financially, make them independent in society, and provide them

with a little spark that guide them toward their dreams.

The success of country is totally dependent upon our youth. In order to improve our present condition,

we have to mentally prepare every single student how to cope with modern world.

Our Team:

All the team members were students of UET taxila of different departments. There were 8 members,

out of which 6 were speakers and 2 of management team Following members of our team are part of
