& Management affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. • 9th  July,  2008,  established  Institute  of  Technology  &  Management,  as  an 

Autonomous Institute under Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. • 21st October 2009, established as ITM University duly constituted under Act of 

Haryana State Legislature vide Haryana Private Universities Act 25 of 2009 and commenced functioning as University from July 2010 onwards. 

• Approved by University Grants Commission vide UGC  Letter No. 8 – 4/2010 (CPP – I/PU) dated 30th April 2010 and put on selected list of Universities with full approval vide UGC Letter No. 8 – 4/2010 (CPP – I/PU) dated 10th October 2013. 

• Notification No. F.8‐4/2010  (CPP‐I/PU) dated 26 August 2015  issued by UGC for  name  change  of  ITM  University  (Annexure  –  1)  and  available  on  the University website. 

• Accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) (Annexure – 2). 

• The  NorthCap  University  is  also  accredited  by  Accreditation  Service  for International Colleges (ASIC), UK. Copy of ASIC letter is enclosed as Annexure – 3.

• Approved  by  Bar  Council  of  India  (BCI)  vide  BCI  Letter  No  BCI:D:  1764/ 2014(LE) dated 05 November 2014 (Annexure – 4).

  Haryana Govt. Gazette (Extra) notification  dated 22 July 2015 promulgated  the Ordinance   of  the Governor   of Haryana The Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Ordinance 2015 dated: 13 July, 2015 notifying the name change  of  ITM  University,  Gurgaon,  to  The  NorthCap University (Annexure‐6) and available on the University website. 

AMENDMENT:   The Haryana Private Universities  (Amendment) Bill No. 16 2012 dated: 10th February, 2012 as provided  in  the last report. The Haryana Private Universities  (Amendment) Bill No. 24 of 2014 dated: 2nd May, 2014 (Annexure – 7). 

FIRST STATUTES:  Approved  and  Gazetted  by  Government  of  Haryana, vide Notification No. KW 18/161 – 2007 UNP  (5) dated 5th April 2011 and available on the University website. 

FIRST ORDINANCES:  Approved & Gazetted by Government of Haryana, vide Letter No. KW 18/ 161 – 2007 UNP  (5) dated 10th May 2013 and available on the University website. 

     (ii) Rules for grant in aid to the colleges belonging to or affiliated to it:

10+2 (English Medium) examination conducted by Central Board of     Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized board in Science stream with an overall aggregate of minimum 60%.  Additionally, the applicant should have secured not less than 60% marks in each of the subjects given hereunder:  (1)     MATHEMATICS  (2) PHYSICS     (3) ENGLISH 

60% weightage to Marks in JEE 2015 Main (Paper – I)  and  40% weightage marks in 

English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2 

MTech (Duration 2 years)   Seats Computer Sc & Engg  80 Electronics & Communication Engg  60 Mechanical Engg  20 Civil Engineering  20 

 

1. BE/ BTech in relevant discipline or MCA or MSc (Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics.).         2. Within the overall intake of any branch, multiple courses can be offered.  However, the minimum no. of seats in each course cannot be less than 15. 

Minimum 60% marks in qualifying degree and minimum CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale 

C  Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)  (Duration 3 Years & Intake 120) 

1. Minimum  60%  (Best  of  Four)  in  10+2  from  recognized board  in  any  stream.    Physical  education  will  not  be counted as best of four.                   2.  15%  of  intake will  be  allocated  for  Children/ wards  of NRI. 

80% weight age to marks in 10+2 and 20% to personal interview 

D  MBA (Duration 2 Years & Intake 45) 

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Candidate  is  required  to appear  in  any  of  the  following  entrance  tests  CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ITM entrance test (scores will be counted from Sept 2014‐ May  2015).  (3years  part  time MBA  also  available)   2. 15% of intake will be allocated for Children wards of NRI. 

Merit  based  on  degree  marks,  CAT/MAT/ CMAT/  ITM  entrance  test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. 

E Post Graduate Diploma in Management & Leadership (Duration 1 Year & Intake 60) 

Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum  of  50%  marks.  2  years  of  work  experience preferred  but  exceptional  fresh  graduates  will  be considered. 

Academic  performance  and  work performance!and detailed interview. 

F  B.Com.(Hons.): (Duration 3 Years & Intake 60) 

1. Minimum 60%  in 10+2 with mathematics  (Best of Four) from a recognized board  in any stream with Maths as one of  the  subjects. The subject will be counted  in  the best of four while calculating  the 10+2 merit  .   Physical education will not be counted as best of four.                                          2. 15% of intake will be allocated for Children wards of NRI. 

80% weight age to marks in 10+2 and 20% to personal interview 

G  B.Sc.(Hons.) Economics (Duration 3 Years & Intake 30) 

1. Minimum 60%  in 10+2 with mathematics  (Best of Four) from a recognized board in any stream Maths as one of the subjects.  The  subject will  be  counted  in  the  best  of  four while calculating the 10+2 merit. Physical education will not be counted as best of four.                                   2. 15% of intake will be allocated for Children wards of NRI. 

80% weight age to marks in 10+2 and 20% to personal interview 

H  B.Sc.(Hons.) Mathematics (Duration 3 Years & Intake 30) 

Minimum  60%  marks  (or  equivalent  CGPA)  in  aggregate with Mathematics at 10+2 level. 

On merit of aggregate percentage in best four subjects including Mathematics & English at 

10+2 level. 

I  M.Sc. Mathematics (Duration 2 Years & Intake 20) 

Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the aggregate in  BSc/BA  (Hons.)  in Mathematics  or  any  other  Bachelor degree  (with  compulsory  3  papers  of  Mathematics  in annual system or 3 to 6 papers of Mathematics in semester system). 

On  merit  of  aggregate  percentage  at Bachelor’s degree level. 

J  BBA – LLB (Hons.)  (Duration 5 years & Intake 90) 

1. 10+2 examination by CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 55% and 60% in English. Additionally candidate should have appeared for (CLAT/LSAT/AILET 2015/ITM entrance Test).                                                         2. 15% of intake will be allocated for Children/wards of NRI. 

On the basis of the inter se merit of CLAT/ LSAT/ AILET / ITM entrance Test (2015) 

K  LLM (Duration 1 year & Intake 20) 

Must have passed LL.B Degree examination conducted by any University recognized by UGC and BCI. 

On the basis of merit determined on personal interview and marks obtained in the qualifying examination 

L  Ph.D. (Engineering, Management & Law) 

Admissions for Ph.D. are done on the basis of continuous or rolling admissions  round  the  year  in all  three  Schools,  i.e. School  of  Engineering  &  Technology,  School  of Management, and School of Law.  

Admissions  are  based  on  The  NorthCap University test. For NET qualified, NPET is not required
