About 1,800 volunteers helped carry out CAC’s mission in 2018. CAC is a volunteer-driven nonpro�t. The volunteer force allows CAC to maintain a small sta� therefore keeping overhead low. Recurring volunteers work in all areas of the center from meeting with clients, taking phone calls, entering data, receiving, sorting and stocking donations, working in the Thrift Boutique and the Food Pantry, teaching adult education classes and preparing tax returns. Volunteer groups from businesses, congregations, schools and other organizations are put to work where needed and in 2018 also helped to shift goods around during renovations and move the food pantry into the new building.

The Building Hope Campaign was launched in 2016 to fund the expansion of CAC facilities, positioning the organization to reach and serve 800 more families by 2020 as outlined in CAC’s Strategic Plan.
