Recruitment Drives 2016
Loreal Pakistan Brand Storm
The Lahore School of Economics was visited
by Loreal Pakistan on the 26th of January 2016
and later on 12th of February 2016. The 3rd and
4th year students were invited to attend the
session. The program begun with Loreal
Pakistan introducing themselves as an
internationally successful brand and as an
activity for the students, they indulged them all
in a video-making competition. The students
had to work in teams to make a video for the
company and post it online to receive votes. The video with the most votes was announced as the
winner. Besides their activity plan, they also detailed on their manager trainee program for MBA
II students. Around 250 students attended the session and the campus drive was a hit.
Coca Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited Recruitment Drive
On the 1st of February, the month kicked off
with one of the liveliest events of the year.
CCBPL came to the Lahore School Campus
and a week before their visit; the word was
spread around the university for the students
to gear up for a “Coke Quest”. CCPBL made
their campus drive highly entertaining with a
case study competition for the 3rd, 4th, MBA I
and MBA II year students. At the end of it,
they had a treat for the students as they came
prepared with a flash mob. They also set up a
picture booth and around 250 to 300 students
attended the drive.
Unilever Recruitment Drive
The Lahore School of Economics was visited by one of the most prestigious company that goes
by the name Unilever. They arrived on the 2nd of February 2016 and executed their session and
brand promotion. They set up props and offered to take pictures of the students. The next day
they conducted a session for the MBA batch and 4th year and 3rd year BBA/BSC students. They
also conducted an internee recruitment test which was solely for the 3rd year students so they
could have early job experience with a multinational. The myth goes around that multinational
internship opportunities are hard to get without a reference but the Lahore School received a fair
chance for all its students.
Dunya News Auditions
Everyone knows that if a news channel is coming for recruitment purposes then its “Lights,
camera, action!” Dunya News brought exactly that energy when they came to conduct auditions
for their trainee anchor position on the 4th of February 2016. The activity for the auditions was to
read off a script in Urdu. They evaluated the students on the basis of body language, clarity, accent
and confidence. Only the 4th year students and MBA students were asked to give auditions and
Ali Zaman from the HR team was there to conduct them.
Nestle
Nestle visited the Lahore School of
Economics on the 9th of February
2016 for their management trainee
session exclusively for the final
year Bachelors and MBA students.

Pakistan Tobacco Company
The Pakistan Tobacco Company has its roots internationally spread world-wide and is established
in over 180 markets. On the 11th of February 2016, they came for their recruitment session and
test at the Lahore School of Economics. Many candidates of MBA and Bachelors 4th year actively
participated for the test but only the short-listedcandidateswere to give the interviews conducted
on the 12th of February 2016. Pakistan Tobacco Company did not leave the Lahore School
potential unexplored, thus, they conducted another session offering internships to the 3rd year
batch of Bachelors.
OBS Pharma
OBS Pharma is one of the biggest
pharmaceutical companies and comes under
the top 20 medical care providing firms. It is
highly established in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The HR representatives of the company
visited the Lahore School of Economics for
their recruitment drive on the 16th of
February 2016. They held their session in the
Lahore School SBS library and it went very
successful with the students. After
conducting a test, the successful students
were short listed and upgraded to the
interview stage.
Procter &Gamble Recruitment drive
Procter and Gamble, a well-established American
multi-national, visited the Lahore School of
Economics on in search of the finest of students.
Students were asked to pre apply to be a part of their
recruitment session and test. Only the short listed
students selected on strict evaluation basis were to
give the highly competitive test for P&G. Alas, only
five students triumphed and moved to the interview
stage. This test and interview session was conducted
on campus in the Lahore School SBS library and
Placements Office, on the 18th of February 2016.
SEE TV Pakistan
An interesting and interactive recruitment drive was organized by SEE TV Pakistan. The Lahore
School of Economics offers students expertise in the field of media and thus in search of potential,
the team of SEE TV Pakistan arrived on campus on the 10th of March 2016. They held auditions
for confident and fluent anchors from among the 4th year batch of Bachelors. The auditions took
place in the Lahore School CSR office.
Panasian Group Recruitment Drive
The Panasian Group visited the Lahore School of Economics for a recruitment drive on the 22nd
of March 2016. Their drive comprised of a session plus a test for recruitment purposes. The
recruitment drive took place in SBS library and only the MBA II students were to give the test.
Around 50 to 60 students attended the Panasian Group recruitment drive and the short film
presented on the goals of the Panasian Group was highly informative.
Engro Corporation
Engro is a Karachi based public
multinational that has subsidiaries
branching out to foods, chemicals,
petrochemicals and fertilizers. It is
a major fertilizer manufacturer and
also incorporates with the dairy
products brand OMOR’E. On 25th
March 2016, Engro visited the
Lahore School of Economics for a
recruitment drive involving a
session and a test. This drive took
place in the main library and the
selected candidates of MBA I and Bachelors 3rd year were chosen to become a part of Engro
Internship Program while MBA II and Bachelors 4th year were chosen for the MTO program.
S&L Financial Interviews
S&L financial is an organization that offers
its clients savings guidance and loans. Their
session attracted the Lahore School
Marketing and Finance students abundantly.
On the 4th of April 2016, S&L Financial
visited the Lahore School of Economics and
interviewed potential candidates. Thus, the
short listed candidates of 4th year Bachelors
and MBA were finalized to move a step
further into becoming a part of the firm.
Abudawood Recruitment Drive
Abudawood is an exporting and
refining company that processes into
each business of every market that
they enter in order to maximize
productivity on behalf of their clients.
This prestigious company introduced
itself to the Lahore School students in
an interactive session conducted on
the 13th of April 2016 in the SBS
library. Around a team of 8
representatives, comprising of a few
Lahore School Alumni came to
conduct this active session. They definitely left after sparking an interest in our students and
gained a clear picture of the bright lot the Lahore School has, after they conducted short interviews
with them.
Bank Alfalah Recruitment Drive
The well reputed Bank Alfalah visited the Lahore School of Economics in search of bright young
candidates and it certainly finished the job after leaving with a few of the brightest students of the
Lahore School. The representatives arrived on campus on 14th April 2016 for a session regarding
the company and a tough test for recruitment purpose. The 4th year students strived to achieve a
good score on their test but amongst the competitive pool only a handful were short listed for the
interviews. On 15th April, screening interviews were conducted at the Lahore School Placements
Office and the short listed students were given the opportunity to experience what it would be
like sitting before the panel.
Ufone Summer Internship Drive
Ufone is one of the most popular telecommunications companies of Pakistan. They organized a
session for the MBA, 3rd year Bachelors and 4th year Bachelors students. They held their test on
2nd May 2016 and the shortlisted candidates were taken a step further to give interviews. The test
took place in the Lahore School main library and the interviews were held at the Placements
Office. Successful finalized candidates were then offered an internship with Ufone.
Fatima Group Recruitment Drive
Fatima Group is an agricultural sector organization manufacturing fertilizers nation-wide. They
visited the Lahore School of Economics on 3rd May 2016 for an introductory session. After that
they conducted a test for the students of MBA and 4th year Bachelors. The potential candidates
were taken a step further to become a part of the organization.
The Citizens Foundation (TCF)
The Citizens Foundation is one of the largest
social organizations of Pakistan. They stand for a
noble cause of spreading literacy, promoting
primary education and spreading health
awareness among Pakistan’s rural districts. On
the 4th of May, they came to the Lahore School
for a session and interview with the students.
These activities took place in the main library and
the Placements Office premises. After an
excellent response from the students, they made
another visit to the campus on 16th May 2016.
They set up an assessment center in FH2 to
evaluate students on the basis of their volunteer
work and teaching potential.
Bulleshah Packaging Pvt. Limited Recruitment Drive
Bulleshah Packaging is a company that specializes in safe and healthy packaging of all types of
consumer goods. They have a partnership with Packages Limited and Stora Enso. On 4th May
2016, they visited the Lahore School campus for a recruitment drive involving a session and a
test. Students abundantly attended the drive to give the recruitment test and be chosen as potential
candidates for joining Bulleshah Packaging
.
Nishat Chunian Recruitment Drive
Nishat Chunian conducted its Recruitment Drive at Lahore School of Economics on Friday, 6th
May, 2016. The written test began at 10:30 am which was supervised by Ms. Tanziha Maryam,
Assistant Manager Admin HR & Communications at Nishat Chunian. The test was conducted at
the Main Library and was given by around 60 MBA II students. Based on the results of the test,
candidates were then shortlisted for interviews which were held at the Placements Office.
Sukoon.com.pk Interviews
‘Sukoon.com.pk’ is an online portal for hiring manual workers for household services. It is the
first online platform working towards connecting individuals looking for maintenance help. They
arrived at the Lahore School of Economics on the 19th of May 2016 and interviewed the students
who were interested in becoming a part of the team. These interviews took place at the Lahore
School Placements Office premises.
Zong Recruitment Drive
The Zong team visited the Lahore School of Economics on 20th May 2016, Friday to conduct
their Graduate Trainee Recruitment Drive. They began their Recruitment Drive with an
introductory session about Zong and telling the students about their Recruitment process for the
Graduate Trainee Program. The session was then followed by an online test for the Undergraduate
and MBA students at the Main Library.
Mobilink - Summer Internship Drive
Mobilink is a trade name of Pakistan Mobile
Communications Limited (PMCL), a mobile
operator in Pakistan providing a range of prepaid
and postpaid voice and data telecommunication
services to both individual and corporate
subscribers. They came to the campus on May 23,
2016 to conduct a recruitment drive for their
internship program. The drive consisted of an
information session in the beginning followed by
test. The shortlisted candidates were then
interviewed after which the selected students were
tested and finalized through an assessment center
exercise. The first part of the drive took place in
Main Lib and later was conducted in TRC 4.
Kale Pakistan Interviews
Kale Pakistan is a company that aims to facilitate its customers with a single place where all home
building accessories are accessible to them. On the 26th of May 2016, Kale visited the Lahore
School campus offering 3rd year Bachelor students to apply in their internship program. A session
was conducted by the Kale HR team in the SBS library and after that interested candidates were
asked to stay back for interviews. Thus, potential students were short listed and offered an
internship with Kale.
Dqube Recruitment Drive
Dqube is a software company that works towards providing customers with reliable information
technology solutions. They aim to provide their clients with IT solutions to increase their
operational efficiency, cost saving and productivity. On the 27th of May 2016, they visited the
Lahore School of Economics to conduct a test for their recruitment drive. They started off with a
captivating session about their company followed by a test. This test session was attended by 3rd
year and 4th year Bachelors students as well as the MBA batch.
Sapphire Group Recruitment Drive
Sapphire, a national industrial conglomerate, makes major contribution to the textile industry and
produces cotton yarn, fabric as well as finished garments. The company is Lahore based and its
HR team visited the Lahore School of Economics on the 30th of May for a session in the SBS
library and later held interviews for potential candidates at the Placements Office premises. After
an excellent response from the students, there was further short listing done and on the 4th of June
2016, Sapphire Group paid another visit to set up their assessment center. The selected candidates
then performed the assessment center tasks to be further considered for the final interview.
Digital Globe Services (DGS) Recruitment Drive
DGS is basically a company that provides outsourced online customer gaining methods to large
organizations. DGS helps these customer seeking organizations online portals to advertising
globally. DGS organized a recruitment drive at the Lahore School on the 2nd of June 2016 along
with a test which was conducted in the SBS library. This test was exclusively for the MBA II
students.
Prema Brand Ambassador Interviews
At-Tahur’s Prema milk brand launched in 2008 and in a short span of time become a household
name in Pakistan for its 100% dairy purity & freshness. Prema is a leading brand and in search
of the best brand ambassadors, its’ representatives visited the Lahore School campus on 19th
September 2016. The interviews were conducted of the short listed applicants in the Placements
Office (FH-6). The best of the lot were given the title of successful brand ambassadors of Prema.
Citropak Campus Ambassador Drive
CITROPAK is one of the largest producers of fruit concentrates, purees and specialized products
in Pakistan. In search of campus ambassadors, CITROPAK invited applicants of the Lahore
School of Economics. These applicants were then interviewed on campus at the placements office
FH 6. The ambassador drive led to an abundant amount of students being selected as the official
CITROPAK brand ambassadors.
Bpa8 OOD Ltd Interviews
El8 is a subsidiary of Bpa8 OOD Ltd, a European company based in Bulgaria. They provide a
range of services related to the design, development and delivery of projects. It was a startup
business so they visited Lahore School of Economics on 29th September 2016. They conducted
an information session in the beginning followed by on campus interviews to shortlist students.
The session and interviews took place in Main Library and Placements office.
ICI Pakistan Limited
The new ICI Pakistan Limited corporate identity centres around their brand promise which is
“cultivating growth”. They are highly committed to future growth and investment, for which they
visited the Lahore School of Economics on 27th October, 2016. They conducted an online test for
MBA and Bachelors 2016 students. The online test took place in Main Library. A significant
number of students appeared for the test and seemed enthusiastic about being part of the
prestigious organization.
Unilever Pakistan
Unilever Pakistan is the largest fast-moving
consumer goods (FMCG) company in
Pakistan, as well as one of the largest
multinationals operating in the country.
Unilever visited the campus later in the year
on 7th November 2016 to have their session
and internship program for the students. The
session (UFLP) was basically an informative
session for the MBA II and 4th year students.
Their internship program was for MBA 1 and
3rdyear students which constituted of a
written test to shortlist and select the
students. The session and test took place in
SBS Library.
Edlytica Recruitment Drive
Edlytica is a learning analytics program which collects, integrates and analyses educational
data to improve learning management, to highlight learning gaps. They visited the campus
on November 22, 2016 to conduct interviews for Bachelors 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students.
They also conducted an information session to educate the student body.
Reckitt Benckiser Recruitment Drive
As unique as its name, Reckitt Benckiser is a company that believes in being different and better
from the rest. They perform all activities while being socially, environmentally and financially
responsible. On the 24th of November, the company’s HR representatives conducted a recruitment
drive at the Lahore School of Economics. This drive was particularly for MBA, 3rd and 4th year
Bachelors students.
Nestle Recruitment Drive
Nestle Pakistan today is the leading Food & Beverages Company in Pakistan with key focus on
Nutrition, Health and Wellness and reaching the remotest of locations throughout Pakistan to
serve the consumers. Nestle is one of the most reputed companies in terms of jobs and career so
students of Lahore School really look forward to be part of the Nestle Team. Nestle visited the
campus to conduct their recruitment drive on 7th December for the MBA II and 4th year Bachelors
2017 students. They had their session is SBS Library where they talked about the hiring process
at Nestle. They also guided our students on resume writing and how to make your resume
impressive. They also collected resumes of interested candidates.
AC Nielsen Recruitment Drive
The Nielsen Company is a global information and
media company with leading market positions in
marketing information, television and other media
measurement. They visited the campus on 8th of
December 2016 to conduct a session and written
test for the students. It was for MBA and Bachelors
2016 students. The test and session took place in
SBS library and a significant number of students
appeared for the test.
Sessions by Placement Office 2016
AIESEC Session
AIESEC stepped on campus with its
representatives on the 28th of January 2016. They
introduced their initiative to charge the youth
towards taking responsibility for the betterment
of the future. AIESEC basically provides young
people with self-driven, practical and global
opportunities to grow and discover their
potential. After detailing about themselves and
their upcoming international internship as well as
global exchange opportunities, they scheduled
interviews of shortlisted students on the basis of
their application. The interviews were held on the
29th of February and 1st March 2016. The
introductory session took place in the SBS library
while the interviews were conducted at the Placements Office and TRC III. AIESEC again visited
the campus on September 7th and 21st, firstly for the information session and later for conducting
their recruitment drive.
Shell Pakistan
Shell Pakistan is known to be one of the
biggest oil traders globally. They visited the
Lahore School of Economics for their
company’s session on the 17th of February
2016. The session was conducted exclusively
for the MBA candidates and was held at the
Lahore School SBS library.
Care Foundation
The beginning of Care foundation traces back to 1988 when it began with the noble initiative, by
Seema Aziz, to help those areas affected by flood water. Along with her active volunteers, Care
Foundation stands strongly recognized for its efforts today. They visited the Lahore School of
Economics on the 19th of February 2016 and conducted a session for students of all years. They
won over many hearts and volunteers with their successful session conducted in the SBS library.
Chaichalk session
Chaichalk is a Lahore based online media company which publishes stories to nurture Pakistan
youth potential of storytelling and raising their voice regarding social issues. Chaichalk visited
the Lahore School of Economics on the 28th of March 2016 for a meeting with the students. The
discussed fresh ideas on how to inculcate the international media approach within the Pakistani
context. It was a highly informative and active session. After an excellent response from the
students, they made another trip to the campus on 7th April 2016.
Interactive Research Development (IRD)
IRD is an organization that focuses all its due
efforts on addressing the global health with the
help of research and technology innovation. It
focuses on improving the weak communities with
the help of health delivery. IRD came to the
Lahore School Campus for an interactive session
on the 30th of March 2016. Around forty students
attended the conference which was held in the
SBS library
Chevron Corporation
Chevron Corporation visited the Lahore School of Economics with a lot of energy to gain the
students’ interest. On the 30th of March 2016, the team set up an activity in the basketball court
and the participants received gift coupons as rewards. With the students fully involved in the
session, they gained knowledge about the company itself and its diverse projects. They again
came on the 3rd of May for conducting an information session for the students.
Mindstorm Studios Session
Mindstorm Studios conducted one of the most interesting sessions of the year. Minstorm is a
company that works towards developing games with extraordinary content at a global level. They
came in search of potential candidates to join their studio’s actively working team. The session,
held on the 9th of May 2016, was highly informative and attracted many enthusiastic students.
The HR team of Mindstorm then collected resumes of the interested candidates before leaving.
Total Parco Company session
Total Parco is a well-known fuel providing company that aims to provide its customers with the
best petroleum. Their recruitment drive comprised of an informative session that was held on the
21st of May 2016. This session took place in auditorium 7 and was highly informative for the
students interested in applying to Total Parco for a job position in the future. The speaker at the
session was Faraz Atif as a representative and it was exclusively for the Bsc. (Hons) 3rd year
students.
Orientation Session
An Orientation activity was arranged by the Placements Office for the upcoming first year
students outside the Garden Café. The activity involved setting up a stall where the students came
and got information about the Placements Office and the usual functions and role of Placements
Office in Lahore School. The Placement Office team was at the stall setup to assist the students.
The Orientation took place on 5th and 7th September, 2016.
Session for MBA II students
A session for Unemployed MBA students was
conducted by Ms Rabia Sohail, Manager
Placements on 28th September, 2016. The session
involved inquiring the students about the number
of interviews they have given so far, the number
of students employed and unemployed so far,
their average salaries and other such information.
Microsoft Session
Around the end of September, the excitement about the representatives of Microsoft visiting the
Lahore School was spread across the campus. Students of all batches actively attended this
session that was organized in the SBS library. Microsoft introduced its ‘Rozgar’ program which
was based on encouraging young graduates towards entrepreneurship and employability. Their
program circulated around end-to-end career guidance, up skilling, job-matching and mentorship.
Microsoft’s great initiative to address unemployment relieved a lot of students of the job stress
they usually face around graduation time.
Resume Writing Session
On 4th October 2016, the Lahore School of Economics invited one of its alumni’s, Mohsin Obaid
to conduct a session on resume and cover letter writing skills. This session was held in the SBS
library and a presentation was given by our guest speaker guiding the outgoing batches of the
Lahore School on how to write a job winning resume. The students were highly benefitted from
this seminar as they gained tips on grabbing the recruiters’ attention and learnt the common
resume flaws to avoid.
Fullbright Session
It is always a pleasure for the Lahore School to invite their alumni for a session, especially those
who have achieved so much in a short span of time. Farah Khalid is just one of those alumni. She
has done her Masters Program from New York University on Full Bright Scholarship. She
indulged herself in public policy despite having a finance degree and now holds a job post in the
World Bank. This session was conducted in the SBS library on the 10th of October and the
students were encouraged to apply for Full Bright Scholarship by focusing on their GRE and
statements. She claimed to be doubted in her early years of Bachelors as a student with a sense
of direction since she applied herself with so much diversity. However, she stood proud today
because she focused on what she wanted to indulge herself in and linked all the dots in the best
way possible.
Session on Interview Techniques

Fatima Group was invited to Lahore School
of Economics to educate the students on how to
prepare for MTO’s program including their
personal grooming, interview giving
techniques and overall hiring process.
Profile Book Awareness Session
An awareness session was conducted for MBA and Bachelors 2017 students on Profile Book by
Mohsin Obaid Area Sales Manager Nestle on October 26th, 17. He talked about what the profile
book is, why it is important, how companies use it, do’s and don’ts of a profile book and how to
write cover letters. The session was very informative and helpful for the students on how to make
an impressive resume.
CSS Session
The Lahore School of Economics always strives to motivate its students to excel in their career.
On 18th November 2016 Lahore School invited one of its alumni Zain Aziz who recently cleared
his CSS exam and currently working in Foreign Service. He enriched the students by talking about
his personal experience in the whole CSS process. He also talked about the grading criteria and
career path in CSS. One of his basic emphases was on English part of the test which the students
usually find difficult and are unable to clear. He explained all the test portions in detail which was
very helpful for the students.
Placement Ambassador Program
The placements office began its search for
student ambassadors on the 10th of
November. The sign up forms were placed in
the office and there were several Bachelor
students who applied. To select the best
candidates, interviews were held in FH-6 on
the 11th of November. The finalists were then
given orientation on how to be excellent
representatives of the Placements Office.
Trainings by Placement Office 2016
Mathematics Sessions
The Lahore School of Economics
invited Sir Mahmood Akram, the head
of Mathematics and Director at The
Leads Academy (TLA), for mathematics
sessions to benefit its students. Various
organization tests for recruitment
involve GMAT math and requires
techniques to solve them within the time
limit. The session’s main purpose was to
guide the Lahore School of Economics
students on how to nail such tests. The
practice sessions took place on Sundays
starting from January 10th till February 7th, which was a great way to kick start the new academic
year. The first part of the session took place in the SBS Library and the second part in the SBS
Lab.
Mock Interviews
The Lahore School Placements office took the
initiative of conducting mock interviews for
the MBA and 4th year students on the 31st of
March and 1st of April 2016. The panel on the
31st of March consisted of Adnan Sadiq and
Lilith Chu, on the 1st of April, Zahra Isaad and
Aitezaz Rehman Sheikh joined us while on 6th
April Moiz Lodhi and Haya Saleem joined us.
These were preparatory interviews and the
students were given feedback based on
communication skills, personality, inter
personal skills, personal grooming and
presentations skills as well as extra-curricular interests. Lahore School arranges mock interviews
frequently because interview skills are very important for the students in landing good jobs. We
again invited Aitzaz Rehman Sheikh from GNR consultants later on Dec 1, 2016 to conduct mock
interviews for our bachelor 4th year and MBA students
Advanced Excel Training
The Lahore School of Economics focuses on
enhancing their students potential and
qualifications. An advanced Excel training
workshop was organized on 16th November
and 4th of June 2016 which was hosted by the
Lahore School Alumni Muhammad Hassan
Raza, MBA batch 2015.
Job Fair 2016
The Annual Job Fair 2016 was organized by the Lahore School Placements Office on
3rd March 2016. The placements office team, comprising of Ms. Rabia Suhail, Ms. Zahra
Haroon and Mr Ahmad Bilal Tiwana made endless efforts to make Job Fair a huge success
with the help of 20 volunteers as a part of the management team. With these efforts paying
off, a number of 61 companies showed up at the Lahore School Career Fair 2016. The
morning of the Career Fair was spent in a hassle of companies arriving at the Lahore
School Campus and as soon as they were set up, students of 2nd- 4th year Bachelors and
the MBA batch flooded in eagerly searching for job as well as internship opportunities.
The Placements Office also set up its stall and received quite a few number of CV’s from
post graduates. All’s well that ends well, the Job Fair 2016 was a huge success.
