4. The 2nd

State Level „ Shri P. A. Inamdar Pharma Badminton Championship Trophy 2012 ‟ was

held at Allana College of Pharmacy, Pune from 29th to 31

st September 2012. The tournament

received remarkable response. In total 21 teams participated with 11 teams in boy‟s category and

10 in girl. Principal Dr. Kiran Bhise and Sports In-charge Mr. Ejaz Shaikh and Mr. J. B. Kandale

were present for the function following boys student participated in the tournament, Omkar

Vivarkar, Akshay Joshi, Sushant Bodas, Karan Patil and Satyajeet Bedekar and girl‟s students

Madhura Nagarkar, Bhagyashree Karmarkar, Ashwini Kadam, Dipshikha Bhuyan and Mona

Bhawnani. Girls team faced in the first round and won. They also won against Maharashtra

Institute of Pharmacy in the semi-final match and went on to face Rajmata Jijau Shikshan

Prasarak Mandal‟s College of Pharmacy in the final. Ms. Bhagyashree Karmarkar was awarded

with „Best Player of the tournament trophy ‟.

Environmental Science Field Work Report 2012-13:

Environmental Field work is a part of second year B. Pharm curriculum. According to that EVS field

trip was arranged for second year B. Pharm students at Mulshi on 2nd

November 2012. Students were

accompanied by Mrs. Vidya Wable and Mr. Jitendra Gajbe. Students were taken to Velnewadi and

studied about Forest Ecosystem, Lake Ecosystem, Stream Ecosystem, and Hill Ecosystem.

Industrial Training:

As per the University of Pune curriculum the B Pharm third year students are required to undergo in

plant training in a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit for duration of one month. The students are

issued a certificate by the company on completion of the training and are required to submit a copy of

the certificate and a report to the training and placement cell of the Institute. Out of 70 students of the

above batch, 55 students have completed their training in Nov. 2012 & rest of the students will be

Initiatives taken for improving academic performance of the student

1.Attendance of 75% is made compulsory for each and every student failing to which a defaulters list

is displayed before the sessional exams.

2.Interaction of the staff members with the parents of the students in case of poor academic

performance.

3.At least three class tests are taken by each subject teacher and extra lectures are taken in case there

is any difficulty is faced by a student in a particular subject.

4.Each examination is followed by a counseling session of the students who have faired poorly.
