I have diplomas from Bates Vocational College, the Oregon Denturist College and George Brown College. I have been the president of the Oregon Denturist Association, and National Denturist Association. I have also heldthe office of Treasurer of both Associations and still a board member of OSDA. I have served the on the Board of Oregon Health Agency for a total of 16 years and chaired that Board for 16 years. I strive to improve my knowledge of the dental profession by many hours of continuing education in the dental and education fields. I am guest lecturing at several State Denturist Associations. I am an instructor at the American Denturist College.

Dr. Massad is in private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a General Dentist since July, 1st 1975 directly after graduating from Loyola University School of Dentistry Chicago, Illinois. He has previously held appointments at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Oklahoma, and past Director of Removable Prosthodontics at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona and from 1992 to 2003 was an associate faculty at the Pankey Institute in Florida.

Dr. Joseph Massad has lectured in more then 12 countries and has presented more than 600 presentations to dental associations around the globe. He is proud to begin each new presentation by thanking his teachers, Drs. Ken Rudd, Tom Shipmon, L D Pankey, John Frush and Frank Schiesser for their tutoring and encouragement to continue improving the lives of the edentulous patients.

Dr. Joe Massad -- Complete and Implant Retained Overdentures- This presentation will cover the most important aspects of complete removable dentures reloaded to include implant retained over-dentures and why unsuccessful cases are generally a result of an inadequate assessment and poor esthetic analysis thereby leading to a weak treatment plan. Helpful tips to eliminate this situation will be detailed. Making the most desirable impressions both internal and external for edentulous, dentate for immediate and implant overdentures will bring the audience up to current methods. See how predictable fit and esthetics are obtained in the immediate denture arena even when implants are placed the day of extractions. The number two problem plaguing removables is an inaccurate jaw registration. A precise jaw recording will be described in detail, for complete, partial, immediate and overdenture procedures. To sum it all up Dr. Massad will describe in detail several implant overdenture cases utilizing all of the above methods.
