The OpportunityTheSeniorVicePresidentforAcademicandStudentAffairsandProvostprovidesprimaryguidanceanddirectionfortheCollegeinallareasofacademicandstudentaffairsandoverseesGGC’soverallacademicmissionandstrategicplan.Operatinginasharedgovernanceenvironment,thisseniorofficerischargedwithnewacademicprogramdevelopmentaswellascontinualimprovementofexistingacademicprograms.
AmongtheresponsibilitiesoftheSeniorVicePresidentarethelibraryandrelatedacademicsupportfunctions;academicplanningandassessment;academic
operations,includingadmissionsandenrollmentmanagement;andstudentaffairs,includingresidencelife.Additionalkeyfunctionsincludeleadershipinfacultyandstaffdevelopment;research;advancementgoalsandactivities;andbudgetandresourceallocation.
TheSeniorVicePresidentisresponsibleforthedevelopmentofandadherencetotheveryhigheststandardsofacademicexcellenceinkeepingwiththeCollege’scorevalues.Thiscommitmenttothehighestacademicstandardsisreflectedinthedevelopment,oversight,andongoingreviewofpoliciesrelatingtoacademicandstudentaffairs.
TheSeniorVicePresidentisapublicleader,whoiscommittedtoengagingwiththeGGCandsurroundingcommunity.ThisofficerworksextensivelywithandrepresentsGGCtorepresentativesoftheBoardofRegents,theUniversitySystem,andotherpublicagenciesimportanttotheCollege.
QualificationsAnearneddoctoraldegreefromafullyaccreditedcollegeoruniversityandastrongrecordofprogressivelymoreresponsiblehighereducationadministrativeexperienceatthelevelofdeanorhigherarerequired.Candidate
