ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR NOV. 23-30, 2014 Christmas Brunch & Nativity Display: Please see the signup sheets at the back of the sanctuary. Help is needed to set up the Nativity displays and to prepare the brunch. Donations for the brunch are also appreciated. Thanksgiving Service: Join us for the Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service Tuesday, Nov. 25th, 7p.m., at the Congregational United Church of Christ, E201 23rd Street Brodhead. Pastor Krystal will be preaching! We are also looking for a few wonderful bakers to supply cookies or bars for the evening. Family Promise: Due to the number of new volunteers in the Brodhead area, we will be holding the training at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brodhead Dec. 6th from 9-10:30am. If people from areas outside of Brodhead are not able to attend this training a second training will be scheduled at a later date at the Monroe Public Library. Please contact Irv & Kay Case so they know if a second training will be needed. Mission Needs: The church is currently looking for help with our Missions team. We are in need of a coordinator for our team. Also, we are looking for people to visit our shut-ins on a monthly bases. Vicki Evenson will be compiling a list of names and you may pick those you wish to visit. Please leave your name with the office if you are able to help. CHRISTIAN ED NOTES 'Unfrozen' Christmas Program is rehearsing during Sunday School every week! Please attend as much as possible! Full rehearsals will be December 7th during Sunday School, and Saturday, December 13th from 9-10:30! The program is December 14th at 9 - you won't want to miss it! Sign up sheets are in the back for Coffee Hour Host/Hostesses, Treats, and Mom's Day Out helpers! Please donate your time as generously as you have your talents! Our Sunday School Teachers need you! We need to have 2 people in each classroom. If you can stay and spend an hour with a class, please email [email protected] . All we you have to do is stay with the class, NO teaching required! Who has an hour?? December 10th - Youth groups and their families and friends will be caroling at the local nursing homes from 6-8! Please join us in spreading some Christmas Cheer! Mom’s Day Out! needs to have helpers! Please sign up for a 2 hour window to help with either Preschool or school-age children for Dec. 13th. Thank you! Teen community service hours available as well! Mark Your Calendars! Wednesday, Dec. 17th, 6-8pm: "Happy Birthday Jesus" Party! Open to the community and accepting donations for the White Gift Food Pantry. Prayer Pals Needed! We will once again be in prayer for our school age children. You may send a monthly card encouraging them. If you would like to become a prayer pal, please see Danielle or email [email protected] . We will start Dec. 1st and continue through mid-May, ending with a Cupcake Party for the girls and Bowling Party for the boys. Men’s Book Study "Quiet Strength" are meeting on Mondays at 7pm in the double room (23) upstairs. If you haven't received your book yet, please see Randy Johnson or Danielle Jorgensen. “The Journey”: Journey with Adam Hamilton as he travels from Nazareth to Bethlehem in this fascinating look at the birth of Jesus Christ. Using historical information, archaeological data, and a personal look at some of the stories surrounding the birth, the most amazing moment in history will become more real and heart-felt as you walk along this road. Join us on this journey as we look at the actual road from Nazareth to Bethlehem and look closely at the characters of our nativity. Classes will be Mondays, starting on tomorrow, Nov. 24 th and running until Dec. 22 nd . We will have a 10am class and a 7pm class. The book is $15. Sign up today!

Christmas Brunch & Nativity Display: Please see the signup sheets at the back of the sanctuary. Help is needed to set up the Nativity displays and to prepare the brunch.
