The 2015 PD day will be led by Justin Cook of the OACS and the focus is
‘Growth Mindsets for Learning’.

2) Elections for the Ontario College of Teachers Council
It's official! Our current Edifide Board Chair, Shannon Marcus, is running in
the elections for the Ontario College of Teachers Council.
The College offers one seat to Private Schools (religious and
non-religiously affiliated). Edifide has endorsed Shannon's nomination.
The elections will happen electronically, beginning on March 2, 2015.

Voting continues until 11:59 on April 7. It takes 5 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE:
If your ballot does not include the option to vote for the Private School Seat,
please do not submit your ballot. Contact your principal and the college of
teachers to obtain the correct ballot.

ELDI program, participants will learn from practicing administrators and

At this time of the year, the EDIFIDE board is beginning to look at the end of various terms of
service. Edifide is a dynamic organization that is looking to enlighten, equip and encourage
Christian educators. We are continuing to grow and plan strategically. If you are interested in
visioning and planning for the future of Christian education in Ontario, this is your invitation to join
our team of dynamic leaders. We are looking for members who are in good standing, have their
CSTC, and are interested in serving for a 4 year term.

Diane Stronks ([email protected]). These names or suggestions would have to be vetted
through the board.

11) Shalem - “Learning How to Grow Restorative Churches’
Shalem Mental Health Network is excited to let you know about a 3-day training for church
communities.
Training summary:
Conflicts within churches are real but we can deal with them in a way that deepens relationship,
strengthens community, and builds our faith.
Join us for a three day hands-on training, including support afterwards, on “Learning How to Grow
Restorative Churches”.
The training is offered through Shalem Mental Health Network and will be in Whitby, ON,
April 21 - 23, 2015.
