1 Annex 1 – WFP ICT Standard Reference Model The ICT Standard Reference Model defines the taxonomy and organization of services provided by ICT to WFP. Not all services and functions are present or used in an emergency context. STANDARD LIFECYCLE STATUS The status classification for any components is as follows: Status Meaning/Definition None (0) No standard exists for component. Standards may be under research or pilot, or may not have been dealt with in WFP previously. Such components need to undergo a standard acceptance process (to be defined). No such components may be deployed in any WFP sites. Proposed (1) Standard has been proposed and is undergoing acceptance procedure. Such components may be deployed only under trial or pilot conditions needed to complete the acceptance process. Current (2) Standard has been is current and is recommended for usage. Retired (9) Standard was previously current but is now no longer valid. Steps should be taken to migrate the component affected by retired standards to current. Rejected (8) Component was proposed for standards acceptance but has been rejected, with documented reasons.
