As a young girl, I never even dreamed of going to the Olympics. I only wanted to get better. But I did get to the Olympics, and on that very special day in Sydney in 2000 when I won the Olympic gold medal, I thought that I had reached the very pinnacle of success, and that things just couldn’t get any better. That was when I discovered that I needed a new challenge, a new way to channel my energies. That new challenge evolved into ANKY Technical Casuals. We began the ANKY brand because I felt there was a real need for more functional clothing in the field of riding. In addition, we attempted to combine this functionality with the leading fashion trends of today. The result: a product line that has garnered respect and admiration through the equestrian world and beyond. I am extremely pleased to present our new product line for Spring/Summer 2008. ATC (Anky Technical Casuals) is very proud to have Jeroen Dubbeldam join the ATC team to help improve

the structure and functionality of our range. Jeroen has been very successful over the last decade.

The pinnacles of his career to date are winning the individual gold medal at the Sydney Olympics , the

Grand Prix in Aachen in 2001, and being part of team that won gold at the European Championships 2007

and the World Equestrian Games in 2006. ATC is well known for producing ranges that cater to

Halter & Lead

The classic ANKY® Halter

(ATH001)is 100% nylon which gives

a soft supple feel. Also it’s silky

finish adds to its aesthetically

superior appearance. The nose-

band, head piece, and cheek pieces

are lined with a suedette for maxi-

mum comfort. The buckles are con-

structed with highly durable zinc.

The halter can be unclipped at

either side for grooming and comes

equipped with matching lead.

The Bridle

The ANKY® Bridle (ATH002) is

constructed of top quality, aniline

tanned, European leather. The ex-

ceptional quality of this leather en-

sures a long life for the bridle which

is equipped with a padded head-

piece and a broad, soft-padded

crank nose band, enhanced with

elegant top stitching. It is available

in pony, cob, full and full plus sizes.

The bridle is delivered without

Reins, so that the rider may choose

the style best suited to their needs.

Three styles are available: a broad

leather rein (5/8”) with stops

(ATH003), a smaller leather rein

(1/2”) with stops (ATH004) and a

web rein (ATH005).

Anky® Riding Glove with

Coolmax®

New in the collection are the anato-

mical and comfortable riding gloves.

They are made of imitation leater

(PU:60% polyurethane, 40% ny-

lon) and Coolmax®, for all weather

conditions. The gloves are provided

with rein tightening. The special

reinforced patches ensure durabi-

lity.This flexible and elegant glove

has a natural grip and provides an

optimal contact with the reins. The

inside gives you a soft comfort feel.

It provides a perfect fit:

The coolmax inserts over the knuck-

les are for extra breathability and

maximum flexibility on the joints.

Elasticid wrist with Velcro provides

an excellent fit. Can be cleaned

very easily; also in the washing

machine.

ANKY® Boots

Combining Anky van Grunsven’s

extensive experience and Petrie’s

generations of skill and expertise,

ANKY® Technical Casuals has de-

signed a superior line of competition

and training boots featuring a taller

shaft which gives the ANKY® boot

it’s uniquely balanced line. For com-

petition, a brand new style of boot

has been developed with an invisi-

ble zipper on the inside of the leg

beneath a protective zipper cover.

The new form-fitting style follows

the contours of the ankle and inclu-

des a soft foot bed and protective

gel between the inner and outer

sole for even more comfort.

The boot itself is produced by

The Flysheet and Neckpiece

The ANKY® Fly Sheet (ATB005)

includes cross surcingles and elas-

ticised leg straps, so that it can be

used easily both in the stable and in

the field. As a separate item, ANKY

provides a matching Head & Neck

Cover (ATB006). The neck section

features an unique split system

which allows the horse to graze wit-

hout pulling the whole Fly Sheet

forward. The Neck Cover also has

several attachment points, which

means the Fly Sheet cannot be pul-

led aside. The ANKY® Fly Sheet

and the Head & Neck Cover are

manufactured from superior quality

polyester which both softness and

strength. Each style is abrasion re-

sistant and easily washable. The

Fly Sheet (ATB005) is available in

125, 135,145,155 and 165 cm back

length and the Neck Cover (ATB006)

in medium, large and extra large.

ANKY® Riding Jacket

The ANKY® Riding jacket is availa-

ble in two designs: the Classic and

the Fashion Design Show Jackets.

These distinctive jackets are made

of a Nanosphere finished material

developed by Schoeller®. Nanosp-

here technology is based on a self-

cleaning principle created exclusively

by Schoeller® by which splashes,

stains, dirt and water do not adhere

to the fabric but simply run off, even

after numerous washes. Both the

Classic and the Fashion design fea-

ture a tailored style and stretch fabric

for a perfect fit. The Classic design

(ATJ001) incorporates the traditional

flat collar and the classic ‘round’ look,

while the Fashion design (ATJ002)

sports a high collar and a more mo-

dern ‘linear’ look.

Dressage Competition Blouses

To perform at the optimal level, every

rider needs to feel as comfortable as

possible.

The ANKY® Competition blouse,

constructed of Coolmax® by Du-

Pont®, has been designed to feel like

a second skin. The ultra light fabric

transports moisture away from your

body and dries quickly, leaving the ri-

der to concentrate on performance.

Ladies blouses are available in three

styles: long sleeves (X701), short

sleeves (XW702), and sleeveless

(XW703). Men’s blouses include a

button down collar (XW721). Also

available are two matching styles of

stock ties; one tied by the rider

(XW712) and one pre-tied and atta-

ched by Velcro (XW711).

Competition Shirts

As a stylish compliment to the ANKY

Competition Blouse, ANKY® has

developed a high-tech Competition

Shirt. Its tactel material effectively

enhances climate control, while the

fashionable collar features a stock

loop and is detailed with

the ANKY® logo. This classic

ANKY® design is available in short

and long sleeved styles.

Bandages

The ANKY® Bandages (ATB001) provide your horse with all

the protection it needs. The Bandages are fabricated from the

highest quality fleece with strong anti-peeling properties. The

bandages have a length of 3,5 m and are available and in

packages of four and in matching colours to the saddle pads.

Saddle Pad

Created with the latest high-tech materials available, the exte-

rior of the ANKY® Saddle Pad is a tactile genuine suede,

while the interior fabric is designed with Coolmax® to provide

optimal moisture management. As well, the thick filling ensu-

res that he pad will remain perfectly in place.

Cooldry© Under Bandages

Cooldry© Under Bandages are made of specialized fabric

on the inside and a nylon terry cloth on the exterior surface.

Inside the bandage is a specially developed polyamide filling

which relieves, absorbs, spreads and lessens the pressure on

the leg of the horse. Under bandages are available in 2 diffe-

rent sizes: 30*45cm (ATB007) and in 50x50cm (ATB008), in

packages of 4.

Neoprene Boot

The ANKY® Neoprene Boot is con-

structed with a 5 mm technically advan-

ced neoprene which cools and wicks.

The fit is ideal and the finish clean. The

Velcro is exceptionally durable and is

attached to an elastic band so that it

can be easily adjusted for tightness.

The Neoprene Boot is available in the

sizes S, M, L and XL; two to

per package.

Blankets

To furnish your horse with the greatest possible comfort,

ANKY features several high quality blankets in it’s collection to

cope with any kind of weather. Anky Winter Blankets are equi-

pped with a patented attachment system of surcingles. All

ANKY blankets are designed for optimal comfort and ease of

movement. The comfortable inner lining of the Stable Rug

(ATB002) prevents bald spots and results in a shinning and

well conditioned coat.

The Turnout Rug (ATB003) comes with a loose matching

Neck Cover (ATB004).

ANKY® Classic Saddle The ANKY® saddles by Ruiz Diaz® is the perfect combi-

nation of contact, comfort and balance. The finest materials

have been combined with super craftsmanship. As a result,

stability and light weight are no longer contradictions. Rather,

they now complement each other, and in this, the anatomy of

both the horse and the rider are taken into account.

Our latest development is the exclusive ANKY® Classic

which was developed in close cooperation with Anky van

Grunsven. The basis concept features a girthed synthetic

spring-tree made with a spring-action to allow for optimal

movement of both horse and rider. Dupont® has developed

a polymer synthetic which is flexible yet extremely durable

and consistently retains its shape. The form of the sad-

dle-tree actually brings the rider into closet contact with the

horse and gives the rider extremely ‘deep seat’ without any

constriction of movement. feeling of an extremely deep seat

without constricting the rider’s movement. Moreover, the sad-

dle has a wide, even and soft bearing surface with enough

gullet width to keep the saddle clear of the horse’s spine so

as to allow the back –muscles to support the rider’s weight.

The 3-point V-girthing holds the saddle in place without

putting too much pressure on the

withers or the shoulders. Material in

the knee area is kept at a minimum

to allow the rider direct contact with

the horse. The ANKY® Classic

Stirrup

By using the Anky® Air Stirrup

system (ATS005), which is desig-

ned and developed with partner

Metalab, the weight distribution

and shock absorbtion are much

improved. The flexible, airfilled sole

protects the ankles and knee joints

through absorbing shocks and dis-

tributing the pressure. The strong

rubber bands on both sides protect

the security device and at the same

time the boot. Neglected muscles

will be activated and strengthened.

Balance and reactive power will im-

prove. Also the pressure on the feet

and ankles is more divided.

Riding Breeches

All our riding breeches are made using high-tech

materials prepared exclusively for ANKY® by

Schoeller®, a prestigious Swiss company whose

expertise in design and fabrication is known and

respected world wide. This fabric is composed of

a combination of Coolmax® and Cordura®, two

fibres from DuPont®. Cordura® as an exterior

layer affords strength and durability, while Cool-

max® on the inside gives the rider the benefit of

optimal moisture management. As well, the elas-

ticity of the fabric provides maximum comfort. For

• The middle of each panel contains a pressure-stable-layer.

• Underneath this layer towards the horse’s back are two

different speciality foams. The one closest to the horse

provides a wide, soft and even contact area of the saddle

on the horse. The intermediate layer has weight-carrying

function und helps to absorb pressure from above and

distribute it evenly. All materials retain their form, allow the

rider’s aids to get to the horse unaltered and compensate

the movement of both horse and rider.

• Above the pressure-stable-layer towards the tree the panel

can be stuffed with conventional flocking to adjust and

balance the saddle to each horse individually.

The Technique

The picture shows pressure points caused by small lumps in

the flocking. Even without much experience it is easy to under-

stand that the majority of saddles cause pressure points on a

horse’s back. If you then check the panel closely, you will find

the lumps causing this. Often enough attempts at restuffing the

panel will have led to an increase of the problem.

• Saddles with STS inside can easily be adjusted by any saddler by conventional reflocking

methods to fit your horse’s anatomy.

• The big advantage comparing injected foam panels is that STS-panels can be individually adjusted.

• Thanks to STS inside the gullet can be designed wide enough and will stay wide enough.

• Everyone can see and feel the difference immediately when comparing a panel with STS

inside to a traditional panel: there are no lumps to be found in a STS-panel and the surface

is even soft throughout.

• STS-panels keep their shape which is apparent when comparing them to used tradional panels.

• Contact between horse and rider is optimal via a 100% even surface.

• Movement of both horse and rider are compensated ideally by the 100% softness throughout.

• Soreness in the horse’s back caused by pressure points, lumps or holes in the stuffing in

traditionally flocked panels are a thing of the past thanks to STS.

• Additional saddle-pads, which place the rider unnecessarily far away from the horse,

are not needed anymore.

• A satisfied, relaxed horse, ready to work after lesser time spent on loosening exercise.
