Parent parcipaon in decision making and providing advice to ensure the connued growth of our school, is an essenal element in the provision of quality educaon for our boys and girls. It was pleasing recently to see a number of parents who expressed interest in being a parent representave on the School Council. Yesterday you should have received a ballot sheet to determine three parents to represent our families over the next two years. Please ensure you vote – one vote per family – and return the ballot sheet to the school office no later than this Thursday, 25 th February. My thanks go to Mr Adla, Ms Charan, Ms Cheniart, Mr Hedgman, Ms Mercado, Ms Stanley and Ms Vave for expressing willingness to take on the important role of Council member. Great to see you! To the many parents who aended last week’s ‘Meet the Teacher’ night – thank you! Parcular thanks go to the many families who completed a parent survey to assist us with our planning. Deputy Principal Miss Law is busy collang the results so that we can plan acvies to best suit your needs. Some reminders: Our Kindergarten Cake Stall will take place tomorrow, Wednesday. Goodies will be available for all students K-6 to purchase at recess. No parking!!!!! We have been asked by the staff at Jim Lynch Pre-School to remind everyone that their car park is for Pre-school patrons ONLY. Recently a number of parents with Pre-school children were unable to use the car park because parents from our school had parked there. While it is realised that parking around our school is a constant challenge, please be considerate and ensure you do not use the Pre-school area. Start saving ……….. for your budget planning, this year overnight excursions are planned for Years 3&4 (ZooSnooze at Taronga) and for Years 5&6 (Point Wolstoncroſt Sport and Recreaon Camp). These excursions will take place in August – you will receive detailed informaon soon. Kind regards Jackie Malecki Focus of the Fortnight * Safely store school bags * Sit down to eat
