Geodetic Infrastructure of the Pacific Islands Countries (Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Tonga, Tuvalu, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Nauru, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Samoa & Vanuatu is based on the Pacific Sea Level Monitoring Project (COSPPac).
PSLMP is a data gathering network that enables us to “monitor” what the sea level and how the tectonics in the region is doing today, and to provide data to support the work of meteorologists and climatologists to predict with a moderate-to-high degree of confidence climate variability over the next three to six months.
With its combination of precise levelling, CGNSS (ITRS) and highly accurate sea level monitoring, the PSLMP is acknowledged in the climate scientific community as one of the best networks in the world.

How PSLMP can play an important role? How PSLMP can play an important role?
• CGNSS Stations
• (Horizontal Datum) – ITRS
• SEAFRAME (Tide Gauge) Stations
• (Vertical Datum) – Chart /MSL Datum
The Geodetic Stations ensure compatibility across various geographic, land and survey systems at the local, regional, national and global level.
It is becoming the reference layer for the cadastre or land administration system, transit / road networks, infrastructure corridors like gas, water, power, communications etc.

All parameters (water levels, wind, air and sea temperatures, atmospheric pressure) are sampled at one second intervals.

CGNSS network monitor movements (Horizontal & Vertical) in the earth's crust at the SEAFRAME tide gauges. If movements such as subsidence or tectonic shifts do happen, the system will allow sea level monitoring to be adjusted to the earth's movement to within millimetres
