Andrew Smith Senior Director, Research Andrew Smith is the Senior Director of Research at the American Gaming Association. In this role, he is responsible for managing the delivery of timely, accurate information regarding the industry to both AGA staff as well as key external stakeholders such as member company representatives, elected officials, members of the media and regulators, among others. Smith has worked in and around the gaming industry for close to twenty years, first gaining exposure to it as a consultant to Mirage Resorts, Inc. Prior to joining the AGA, Smith was the co-founder and president of Vox Populi Communications, a public opinion research and strategic communications firm. Over a period of fifteen years, the company successfully undertook scores of research and consultancy projects for a diverse range of clients including political campaigns, trade associations and leading corporations. Smith earned his B.A. from Skidmore College and master’s degree from the University of Toronto. He resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two daughters.
