The most controversial situation of Andrew Jackson’s presidency was the Indian Removal. This involved the ethnic cleansing; this was to remove native tribes such as the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Seminole. Jackson saw Indians as “children who need guidance” and thought the removal would be beneficial to them.
