August Worship Series
Friends, Moving to a new town, a new home and a new job can be one of the most stressful and difficult things we are called to face. As a Methodist pastor called to itineracy, I know full well that this is part of the “gig,” but that doesn’t make it any easier. There are, however, some things that do make it easier. This includes the hospitality, welcome, and patience. During my move into Andover, I have been blessed to experience all of those things. And so, to all of you who have worked hard to welcome me: Thank You! Being welcomed with food, presence, and patience has made my first month here a blessing. You all have made Andover feel like home rather quickly. There is a lot going on in our world that has made this move more challenging than it might have been. And yet, you all have risen to the challenge. Covid-19 has thwarted my plans for meeting you all, and we continue to work on some safe socially distanced opportunities to meet face-to-face. This is where your patience comes in. I have appreciated that you’ve been patient with me as I’ve gotten settled and as staff and leadership continue to develop safe ways for us to be with one another during Covid-19. As we continue this work, I wanted to invite you to fill out the Coronavirus survey. This is helping us focus our efforts on creating worship and other opportunities that are of interest to you. If you don’t have an email address in our system, you should have received the survey by mail. If you did not, please contact the church office, so we can get you one. You can also find the survey on the church website. Please take the time to prayerfully fill out this survey, so we know what you need and how we can support you in this time. Thank you again for your hospitality and patience as we walk this weird path together. Blessings,

August 2020 Prayer List
When we join the United Methodist Church, we take a vow that we will be, loyal to the United Methodist Church and uphold it by Our Prayers, Our Presence, Our Gifts, Our Service and by Our Witness. Scriptures call us to celebrate
with those who celebrate and to grieve with those who grieve. We grow in connection with one another as we know the praises and concerns of the individual churches and respond in a manner of praise and/or prayer.
Please feel free to share your news that we may share especially the prayer concerns to the faith community.

Bearing Fruit that Lasts:
Called, Committed, Connected
When we gather virtually on September 26-27 for Annual Conference 2020,
we will be guided by the theme Bearing Fruit that Lasts: Called, Committed, Connected. Worship, business, and fellowship will underscore the importance of being
connected to God, to our neighbors, and to our mission of
making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world
and bearing fruit that lasts.
All business sessions and worship services of Annual Conference 2020 will be livestreamed.
Baptisms at the Lake (Main Beach) - Sun., Aug. 30th @ 10am

People have asked what is the best way to continue to share my offerings and donations to the
church. Here are some of the best ways to do that:
Online Bill Pay from your Bank
- set up a one time or recurring gift through
your bank’s bill pay service
Church Website - "Giving" tab
- you can make a one time or recurring offering/donation
