Of course, on the horizon is Halloween and hard on its heels – Christmas! I don’t know about anyone else but fall seems to bring with it a renewed energy for all things sewing and quilting. On the other hand, preparations for the holiday season seem to consume mega amounts of time. And so, it is important to stay focused and set aside time for all of these things. Setting aside as little as 20 minutes a day will result in projects completed rather than UFOs and PIGS (projects in grocery sacks)! But if you can’t manage that, or need motivation or something more, then you need to sign up for UFO days, or the BOM, or take a project or two from our Outreach ladies; your guild offers many opportunities to choose from whether you want to learn a new skill, or hone the ones you already have while being creative and making something you or a loved one can enjoy in the coming years. Stay focused, stay organized, and SEW ON...and join in and have some fun! Alison McDonald, president PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE ON PAGE 7

Block of the Month
Instructions for the next phase of Block of the Month will be handed out at October’s
meeting. I have talked to several of the ladies who signed up for block of the month and
they are all working feverishly to get their flying geese done so that they can move onto
the second phase. The next phase is just as easy as the first just a few more steps.
If you cannot pick up your next hand out perhaps you can have a guild friend pick it up for
you.
Look forward to talking with you at the meeting.
Keeping you in Stitches, Sam Croucher 905-388-9561
