How many frames? • Movies use 24 fps

•  Not scanned – just photographs •  Flicker, with undersampling (stroboscopic) problems •  dark environment à less sensitivity to flicker

•  TV •  scanned •  fairly bright environment •  à use interlacing to reduce flicker
