Oświęcim•During the second world war, the city was transferred to the German Empire, and the Auschwitz concentration camp was built here •Later, in 1942, a large extermination camp Auschwitz II-Birkenau (Březinka) was built on the other side of the city and a smaller camp Auschwitz III-Monowitz for the nearby village of Monowice

Krakow

•The oldest part of the city is located on a fortified Wawel hill. It was one of the most important fortifications in tribal principalities of Vistulanians• It was dominated by Prince Svatopluk, the ruler of The Great Moravian Empire. The first mention of Krakow comes from the year 966, when the city was under the reign of Prince Boleslav I.
