1. All the above shortlisted candidates (Medical & allied backgrounds and Non-Medical backgrounds) will have to appear for the PhD entrance exam of one hour duration consisting of general aptitude and logical reasoning questions. The said exam shall be the qualifying exam for candidates with Medical & allied backgrounds for appearing in the interview except the candidate shortlisted under direct PhD program. However, the candidates belonging to non-medical backgrounds, who have already qualified fellowship exams from various funding agencies, the PhD entrance exam shall be considered as part of the interview process.
2. Candidates have to report at 8.45 AM at the above mentioned venue and are required to bring with them the following documents in original and one set of photocopy. In the absence of these documents the candidates shall not be allowed to appear for the selection process. Valid caste certificate in original. No Objection Certificate in case the candidate is employed/working in any government
organization. Date of Birth Certificate and any government photo identity card. Certificates pertaining to educational qualifications and experience In respect of candidates with Non-Medical backgrounds, who have qualified fellowship
exam, fellowship award letter in original issued by the concerned funding agency. In case the award letter is yet to be received, the candidate has to provide the sufficient evidence as having qualified the Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research fellowship with the validity of fellowship.
Candidates having qualified the fellowship exam under category-I of DBT fellowship shall only be permitted to appear for the PhD entrance exam and interview.
Please bring with you the duly filled admit card affixed with your photograph attached with this document without which the entry in the examination shall not be allowed.
The PhD entrance exam shall be followed by the interview on the same day i.e. 1st June 2017 for qualified/eligible candidates. Please note that the interviews may also be conducted on 2nd June 2017 depending on the total number of candidates. Candidates are advised to come prepared for an additional day of stay.
Outstation SC/ST/PWD candidates called for exam/interview will be paid second/ordinary class rail/bus fare to and fro by the shortest route on production of the proof of the same.
