•Amy left for school ~ 7:20 am riding her bike.• Brother (Jason) had already left
for school Amy’s School Day 7:45 am – 2:04 pm
Friday afternoon October 27th, 1989…The family’s routine was that each child was
required to call and check-in with Mom at her work upon returning from school
•Margaret received at least 2 phone calls that afternoon from the children:
Jason called his mother at 3:10 pm Possible 2nd call from Jason
Amy called her mother ~ 3:30 Margaret assumed Amy was calling from the house
Friday evening October 27th, 1989…
• 5:30 pm - Margaret arrived home after work and learned that Amy had not come home that afternoon.
Margaret called friends and neighbors in attempt to locate Amy.
Margaret retraced Amy’s route to school and found Amy’s bike still locked up on the bike rack.
5:58 pm - Margaret went to the BVPD to report that Amy was missing.
