FALSOS PROFETAS, VERDADEROS PROFETAS

Hoy nos enteramos en Deuteronomio de que las palabras de Dios llenarán la boca de un profeta verdadero, pero un profeta falso, en cierto modo, pone meras palabras mortales en boca de Dios. En el Evangelio según san Marcos, vemos las enseñanzas de Jesús y la curación como obra de un verdadero profeta, uno lleno de la autoridad de la propia voz de Dios, el Santo de Dios. La historia de nuestra Iglesia está llena de profetas, verdaderos y falsos. Pero en el Evangelio de hoy nos enteramos de que la fama de Jesús se extendió porque enseñaba con autoridad; su autoridad no procedía de que él fuera popular o famoso. También aprendemos de él, en sus enfrentamientos en el desierto cuando fue tentado por Satanás, que cualquiera puede citar la Sagrada Escritura, incluso en contra de los propósitos de Dios. Y hoy nos enteramos de que su autoridad no era como la de los escribas, que ocupaban los cargos oficiales de autoridad religiosa en aquella época. Nuestro trabajo consiste en hacer nuestro mejor esfuerzo para discernir los verdaderos profetas que hay en medio de nosotros, y también nosotros mismos ser verdaderos profetas. El salmista nos dice cómo hacerlo: no endurecer nuestro corazón cuando Dios habla. Si de verdad escuchamos a Dios, serán las palabras de Dios las que llenarán nuestra boca.

FALSE PROPHETS, TRUE PROPHETS In Deuteronomy today we hear that God’s very words will fill the mouth of a true prophet, but a false prophet will, in a manner of speaking, put mere mortal words into God’s mouth. In Mark’s Gospel, we see Jesus teaching and healing as a true prophet, one filled with the authority of God’s own voice, the Holy One of God. The whole history of our church is filled with both true and false prophets. But in today’s Gospel we learn that Jesus’ fame spread because he taught with authority; he wasn’t an authority because he was popular or famous. We also learn from him, in his desert temptation confrontations with Satan, that anyone can quote scripture, even against God’s purposes. And today we hear that his authority was not like that of the scribes, who held the official positions of religious authority in his day. Our work is to do our best to discern the true prophets in our midst, and to be true prophets as well. The psalmist tells us how to do this: by not hardening our hearts when God speaks. If we truly listen to God, it will be God’s very words filling our mouths.

WORLD DAY OF PEACE 2012: ʺEDUCATE THE YOUTH JUSTICE AND PEACEʺ The Pope goes on to say, "Young people also must have the courage to live above all, what they are asking, others in themselves. It is a big responsibility to have the strength to use it consciously and freely. Young people are also responsible of self-education and training in righteousness and peace. "The Pope made a special appeal for young people to cultivate and work in these three important values: freedom, justice and peace.

EDUCATING IN JUSTICE

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they remain satisfied" (Mt.5, 6). Be satisfied because of hunger and thirst for right relationships with God, with himself, with his brothers and sisters and with all creation.

EDUCATING IN PEACE

"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God," says Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. (Mt.5, 9). Peace cannot be attained on earth without the respect for "human dignity" respect the dignity of each person is essential to build a new society, a new world, where justice, peace, and fraternity. We respect each person because each person is created in the "image and likeness of God." As Christians we believe that Christ is our peace, and we must live in justice and peace, respect and love. "Dear young people, you are a precious gift to society, be not overcome by discouragement at the difficulties of life and do not get carried away by easy solutions." "Do not be afraid to commit, do not be afraid to choose the paths that require fidelity and perseverance, humility and dedication." Youth, the Church has confidence in you and encourages them to keep fighting to educate, in truth, freedom, justice and peace," concludes Pope Benedict XVI, the young people around the world and especially our youth of Mary Immaculate.

JORNADA MUNDIAL DE LA PAZ 2012: ʺEDUCAR A LOS JOVENES EN LA JUSTICIA Y LA PAZʺ Continua diciendo el Papa, "también los jóvenes han de tener el valor de vivir ante todo ellos mismos lo que piden a los demás. Les corresponde una gran responsabilidad: que tengan la fuerza de usar bien y conscientemente la libertad. También los jóvenes son responsable de la propia educación y formación en la justicia y la paz". El Papa, hace un llamamiento de manera especial para que los jóvenes que cultiven y trabajen en esos tres valores muy importantes: LIBERTAD, JUSTICIA Y PAZ.

EDUCAR EN LA JUSTICIA "Bienaventurados los que tienen hambre y sed de la justicia, porque ellos quedaran saciados"(Mt.5,6). Serán saciados porque tienen hambre y sed de relaciones rectas con Dios, consigo mismo, con sus hermanos y hermanas y con toda la creación.

EDUCAR EN LA PAZ "Bienaventurados los que trabajan por la paz, porque ellos serán llamados hijos de Dios"-dice Jesús en el sermón de la montaña. (Mt.5,9). La paz no puede alcanzarse en la tierra sin el respeto de la "dignidad de la persona humana", respetar la dignidad de cada persona es fundamental para construir una sociedad nueva, un mundo nuevo, donde reine la justicia, la paz, y la fraternidad. Debemos respetar a cada persona, porque cada persona ha sido creada a "imagen y semejanza de Dios". Como cristianos creemos que Cristo es nuestra paz, y por eso debemos vivir en justicia y paz, en el respeto y el amor. "Queridos jóvenes, ustedes son un don precioso para la sociedad, no se dejen vencer por el desanimo ante las dificultades de la vida y no se dejen llevar por soluciones fáciles". "No tengan miedo de comprometerse, no tengan miedo de elegir los caminos que requieren fidelidad y constancia, humildad y dedicación. "Jovenes, la Iglesia confía en ustedes y les anima a seguir luchando a educarse, en la verdad, la libertad, la justicia y la paz", termina diciendo el Papa Benedicto XVI, a los jóvenes de todo el mundo y en especial a nuestros jóvenes de María Inmaculada.
