The stunning new facility includes enhanced gallery, class-room and library space, a 400-seat theatre, event space with dramatic views of Lake Michigan and Grant Park, a children’s center, a café, gift shop and state-of-the-art storage capabilities for the collections of the Spertus Mu-seum, the Asher Library and the Chicago Jewish Archives all in 155,000 gross sq. ft.. After a lengthy review process involving over 42 firms worldwide the final selection was Krueck & Sexton were the final architectural choice. Completion Date: November 2007 Budget: $55,000,000

On January 14, 2004, the Amicus Companies LLC was com-menced a comparative feasibility study to review options and to develop a Strategic Facility Report. Amicus provid-ed: Programming, Current Site Evaluation, Partnership/Collaboration, Site Selection/Community Outreach, Facili-ty Concept, and Initial Budget and Financing Plan. De-signed by Johnson & Lee, when built it would be a total of 60,000 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: On going Budget: $17,000,000

Amicus was engaged at the inception of the development to conduct a selection process for a partner who would invest in the project. The selection process resulted in finding such a partner for the university, after which the original buildings were redeveloped and became home to a research facility which provides access to pre-clinical ser-vices and equipment. The new Academic Center is the center of activity for the Catholic Theological Union Campus. The building contains expanded classroom space, a large library containing a state of the art computer lab, expanded quiet room facili-ties, new dining room and kitchen, covered parking gar-age, and staff/faculty offices. Amicus was the developer and selected Antunovich Associates as the architect. The finished building consists of 95,245 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: July 2006 Budget: $18,100,000

The Rev. John T. Richardson Library is DePaul University's premier library facility. At 187,708 gross sq. ft. it houses general campus resource collections, a student computer center, special and rare book collections and art exhibit space. The building was designed by Lohan Associates as architects. In 1992 the John T. Richardson Library was a finalist for the New Construction Project of the Year. The McGowan Biological & Environmental Sciences Build-ing houses state-of-the-art research and teaching labora-tories, a greenhouse, a student computer center and mul-tiple technical science support areas. Designed by An-tunovich Associates when McGowan was finished it meas-ured 61,975 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: January 1992 Budget: $23,000,000

The five-story Levan Building provides DePaul’s Lincoln Park Campus with state-of-the-art classrooms for 1300 students. This building creates an important connection between two historic structures, Levan Hall and O'Connell Hall, while providing a new “front door” to the Schmitt Academic Center. Designed by Antunovich Associates when Levan was finished it measured 52,700 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: January 1993 Budget: $65,000,000

DePaul’s newest student center is the center of activity on Lincoln Park Campus. The building adds significantly to student life and includes dining, recreational, computer center, café, meeting and administrative spaces. Designed by WTW Architects with VMC Architects the finished De-Paul Student Center measured 155,863 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: November 2001 Budget: $25,300,000

The renovation of the historic Goldblatt Building into De-Paul Center was completed through a close collaboration between the City of Chicago and DePaul University. The long-vacant structure now houses DePaul academic, ad-ministrative and student support space, as well as admin-istrative offices for the City of Chicago and retail space with Jackson, State and Van Buren street frontages within 700,116 gross sq. ft. Antunovich Associates were selected as interior design architects, Daniel Coffey Associates worked as the historic architect for the building’s exterior . In 1996 the DePaul Center was awarded the Design Excel-lence Award by the AIA.
