The Texas Education Agency has rated all school districts and their individual campuses based on two categories: “Met Standard” or “Improvement Required”. HOW THE RATINGS ARE DETERMINED MET STANDARD: District or campus met performance index targets on all indexes for which they have performance data in 2013. Schools under this category can be recognized with three additional “distinction” designations: 1) TOP 25% STUDENT PROGRESS: Schools are compared with a group of 40 similar campuses on student progress in reading, math and writing as measured by STARR. 2) ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN READING: Schools are compared with a group of 40 similar campuses on student progress in reading and English. Elementary and middle schools that rank in the top 50% earn the reading distinction. High schools rank in the top 33% based on attendance rates, advanced level performance on STAAR reading and writing tests, ACT and SAT scores. 3) ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN MATH: Same calculations as for reading. IMPROVEMENT REQUIRED: Districts or campuses that did not meet one or more performance index targets. Districts Met Top 25 Reading Math Improvement Not Standard Required Rated
The Texas Education Agency has rated all school districts and their individual campuses based on two categories: “Met Standard” or “Improvement Required”.
HOW THE RATINGS ARE DETERMINEDMET STANDARD: District or campus met performance index targets on all indexes for which they have performance data in 2013.Schools under this category can be recognized with three additional “distinction” designations:
1) TOP 25% STUDENT PROGRESS: Schools are compared with a group of 40 similar campuses on student progress in reading, math and writing as measured by STARR.
