Americar Chithi (Letters from America)

A series of 12 Bengali-language letters of Jerome D'Costa -- written from the University of Portland in Oregon, USA -- in the period of January 11, 1976 and May 8, 1977, and published for the readers of ther 'Pratibeshi' weekly of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The letters, with interesting details, speak of his observations and experiences on his travel to London, New York and then to Portland, Oregon. Life at the University of Portland and the election campaign of President Jimmy Carter and his subsequent victory also got highlighted there.
