Dance Sunday,February 26th, at2:00. They will be
putting on aperformance for us in
the dining room!
February is where we spread awarenessabout heart disease. Heart disease is
the number one leading cause of deathsin both men & women in the UnitedStates. Statistics show that 1 in 4
deaths are caused by heart disease.Heart disease is a cardiovascular
disorder that affects our heart’s abilityto function correctly.
Maureen is the pharmacy manager atWalgreens who will be informing us of
health benefits one presentation ata time.

Exercise ClassesJoin us every other Monday this
February with Pam from SydFit; Pamfocuses on cardio strengthening andwill be leading two classes this month.Join her Monday, February 13th, at
1:15 p.m. and Monday, February 27th,at 1:15 p.m.
Every Tuesday in February Sara will beleading Gentle Stretch class at
9:30 a.m.Every Wednesday Med Team leads an
exercise group at 1:30 p.m.Each Thursday Sara will be leading astrength building class at 9:30 a.m.We will be ending the week having
seated full body workout on Fridaysstarting at 9:30 a.m.
All exercise classes will be held in themovie room unless other arrangements
are made.
Walk for a Cause...As we are introducing a monthlypresentation stated above we are
also starting a walking clubcalled “Walk for a Cause.”
Monthly, we will add up all of oursteps together and hopefully set
and reach our goals.Unfortunately, with us starting incold temperatures we are fixed
only walking outside. Whensummer or nice weather finallyarrives, we can venture outside
and enjoy some fresh air!Our weekly walks will be ideallyon Thursdays in the afternoonwith an exception this month.
Our first walk will be Feb. 2nd,at 3:45 p.m. Followed by the
remaining dates and times being:Feb. 9th, Feb. 16th, at 3:45 p.m.
and Feb. 23rd, at 10:00 a.m.Meet in the lobby to begin!
Fire DrillAmerican House will be having afire drill Feb. 27th, at 2:15 p.m.
We will be running fire drillsquarterly!

Outing Information!Whose hungry for some Red
Lobster? There seems to be manyseafood cravings among us! I have
heard comments about how they arecraving lobster and biscuits. Our RedLobster lunch will be February 9th,
at 11:00 a.m.Not only are we going to satisfy our
lunch at Red Lobster, but we aregoing to the local movie theater!
Near the end of this month we have apredicted time of when we will begoing. A few days prior, we will set
up a voting activity. That way we canchoose fairly on the movie. The
expected outing to United Artist willbe February 23rd in the afternoon.
