Article: Health and Organization Many of us try to be organized. It’s no fun living in chaos, with messes here and lost items there. Especially frustrating are situa-
tions like not being able to find things when heading out the door, while trying to get to work on time, causing faster driving, and

Important reasons for organization
Research suggests three needs that must be met for our environmental comfort.
Physical – hygiene, accessibility and safety.
Functional – space that supports mobility and ease of performing necessary tasks.
Psychological – provides a sense of control and empowerment over our space.
Start small. Take fifteen minutes and start with one area – your shoes, a pantry or desk – and go from there. And it’s as simple as
keeping what you need and tossing or giving away what you don’t. Letting go is key.

Community News: Outreach done in spring semester for 2015:
Community Service locations were Community Harvest Food
Bank, Fort 4 Fitness Spring Cycle, and Little River Wetlands. We
appreciate all the hard work and dedication that the non profit
agencies do around town in our region and we are proud to be
of assistance to them.
Upcoming Community Service Events:
This summer, American Honors Council will be collecting early
reading books and children’s books for the Literacy Alliance.
Books will be collected throughout summer for the final
collection date of Friday, August 7, 2015
There will be a collection site at the Coliseum Campus Library, or
you may leave donated books with Krystyl Dumas at
Coliseum Campus 1600.
Upcoming Campus Events:
All of our events will be posted on our new bulletin
board outside of the American Honors/ASAP lounge
Coliseum Campus. Please join us on Ivy Life: Honors
Council Northeast!
Our summer special events will include a CPR class and
a self defense class. Dates will be posted on Ivy Life
and on our board.
June: CPR will be certified through Three Rivers Ambu-
lance Authority. The fee for this event will be $5.
July: The self defense class will be led by black belt Tae
Kwon Do instructor Forrest Cunningham of Cunning-
ham’s Fort Wayne Tae Kwon Do. The class will be
