WELCOME!Dear Band Boosters and Parents:

We are excited to welcome you to the 2021 Mt. Timpanogos Marching Band Competition! We are grateful to those who have contributed to this event in any way.

To help the performers and all audiences enjoy the amazing performances, please consider the following guidelines:

• Please treat this competition as you would a Musical Performance.

• Clapping following a solo or cheering between movements is appropriate.

• Please don’t talk, yell, or scream until the conclusion of the performance.

• Special moments in the performance can go unnoticed when the noise level from the audience is too loud.

Being considerate of these measures is not only courteous to those who may be trying to videotape the performances, but also courteous to the judges - who have come long distances to fairly adjudicate the event.

Thank you and enjoy the competition!

Taylor HunzikerFrom the time she was a small child,

Taylor expressed her personality to all of those around her. She has a fierce love of animals, and thinks of her dog Wicket as her baby. Taylor’s siblings

always want to hang out with her, and look up to her as a role model. Taylor

loves Color Guard, and her family loves to watch her beautiful performances.

She loves to hang out with her friends, and loves scary movies. She’s not afraid

to embarrass herself, and is regularly the start of her mom’s Facebook posts. Taylor has blossomed into a beautiful young lady, both inside and out. Her

family loves her so much, and we wouldn’t trade her for anything!

Jacobe Brooks

We will never forget the first time you saw the Marching Band in fourth grade, and how the members and the music touched your soul. You turned

and said, “ I am going to be apart of that band someday”. Years later it came time to audition and you were accepted into the clarinets section as an alternate. Even though the position meant you probably wouldn’t get a chance to compete on the field, you didn’t care and you gave it your all. This was recognized at Band Camp in Delta when someone from the Brass

section was dismissed from the band. The Band Director Nate Seamons approached you and asked if you would consider taking the open position

as a Sousaphone Player. He did this because of your weeks of hard work and sustained dedication that had been seen by all of the section leaders. This meant learning a new instrument, music and choreography in a few short weeks before the first performance. You stepped in, gave it your all, and

well.... The rest is what we will simply refer to as; Tuba History. We are profoundly proud of you son, you are truly a King among men

and a master at your craft!

marching band season. It’s all sweeter than we all dreamed it would be. The next few months will go too quickly, but we’re excited to see

where your path leads! We love you!!
