Finals, a Maturity Claimer, Classic Wild Card, and the Classic Finals. Start planning now so you don‘t miss one of the world‘s biggest events devoted to bucking bulls!

The ABBI season marches onward with some pretty spec-tacular events on the horizon.

To celebrate the 4th of July, we‘re going to West Jordan, Utah for a Classic competition in the heart of the West. The West Jordan Classic boasts $5,000 added money and takes place during the 57th annual Western Stampede.

The next weekend is a Classic in Gonzales, TX before ABBI heads back to the American Heritage stomping grounds for a one-of-a-kind event at the Winstar World Casino. Here in Thackerville, OK., our Classic bulls are competing along with PBR‘s toughest riders on the Built Ford Tough Series.

Still to come is part two of

Jerome Davis‘ Neckover Futurity Challenge, the Tulsa BFTS Classic, and the Lightning C Futurity & Jun-ior Futurity.

Watch for the Futurity Wild Card, which will s o o n be added to the ABBI Sched-ule. The Futurity Wild Card will be the conclusion of the newly introduced Futurity for-mat for the 2011 season. At the Wild Card, bulls will have their final chance to qualify for a spot in the finals.

With Finals on the mind, get ready for the biggest event of the year: ABBI World Finals in Las Vegas! The tentative schedule includes a Junior Futurity, Futurity

On. Friday and Saturday night‘s Derby competition was in con-junction with PBR‘s Touring Pro Division. Each of the per-formance‘s had some local flair, with an elementary school choir and football booster club joining in the efforts. On Friday night, PBR‘s Kyle Schlotterbeck covered Show Sports and Jane Clark‘s 603 Cowtown Gangster for an event score of 90.5. Cowtown Gangster‘s out won him the title and $32,840. Along with the winnings, the Derby Champ was awarded a buckle, 500 pounds of Vitalix Jump-start Feed and a Speedy Hitcher.

This past month marked American Bucking Bull, Inc.‘s fifth year in Ardmore, Okla-homa and we are proud to say that this has been the best year yet! The weekend kicked off with a delicious dinner catered by the local favorite—Two Frogs Grill. Dinner was followed by a silent auction Calcutta for breeders to bid on their bulls and teams. To top it off Moe Bandy was live in concert , keeping ABBI members and special guests rocking throughout the night. With 320 bulls to buck in one weekend, things started early Friday morning. Day 1 of the Futurity brought us the nail bit-ing tie between D&H Cattle/

Margy Haines‘ 61W Fire Show and Stoney Hariman‘s 95 Here We Go Again. Ultimately, 918 Bad Wine of J&J Supply/Gene Baker/Bob Schaaf/The Jaynes Gang took home the Cham-pion title and $119,577. Along with the title of Cham-pion, 918 Bad Wine also re-ceived a buckle, 250 pounds of Vitalix Jumpstart Feed, a Speedy Hitcher, and a 5D Cus-tom Cowboy hat. Top ten futu-rity winners took home custom-made ABBI knives. The Junior Futurity had forty entries competing Saturday morning. Rex Samford won the buckle, 250 pounds of Vi-talix Jumpstart Feed, and $4,000 for his bull, 920 Bring It

Every now and then we get to thinking about the ‘what ifs’—and while spending time with our bulls definitely isn’t a bad thing, we can’t help but wonder….

So, we asked. Here’s what our facebook & twitter readers had to say when we asked what they do when a bull runs toward them.

Reader Poll: Fill in the blank:

When a bull runs toward you,

_______________________________.

“Be sitting in the crowd and not worry about it “

-Tommy Palladeno

“Try and live, then laugh like crazy cuz you love

what you're doing.

-Andrew Villar

“Stop drop and roll!”

- Justin Crawford

“Depends on how fast he's going lol If he's moving in my general

direction, I put down my camera back towards the fence. Chances

are the bullfighters or pickup men will get him before he gets to me ;-)

Now if he's full out running and locked on me, grip the camera for all I'm worth, sprint for the fence,

and jump for the top rail LOL

We want to hear from you. Do you have some cool pictures of your cows, bulls, or calves? Are you an artist who wants to show off your work? Send your piece to the office to be included in our mailbag.

“Pray for a miracle.

“Smile real purty like and say "Who does he think he's fooling?" Oh yeah, and then probably go to the hospital.

LOL”
