Amazing Race: Photo Mapping

L.O: To demonstrate you ability to use a map, a compass, a scale and an iPad to win a timed amazing race.

Your Kit:

In your teams you will need: A map A compass An iPad A pencil A ruler Some GOOS for notes

Your Task: The next 17 slides are photos taken from around the

school campus.

Your job is to figure out where on the map these photos were taken from and mark them in (each photo has a number that you will write onto the map in the right place).

You then need to tell me what compass direct the camera was facing.

Finally to prove you went to each site you need to try take the same photo, but with a group member in the shot.

Get to as many as you can.

The Return Task:

Make a presentation with each picture as a slide with the direction on the picture.

Take a photo of your completed map and add this to your presentation
