The Beginning
1982! A friend of mine invited me for the Amway business meeting but I came halfway because the meeting was conducted in English, a language that I barely understood. But I was eager to know more about Amway so I asked my friend to explain me the

I never studied well in school though I loved playing football and hence I was getting zero marks in all subjects. I s t a r t e d working at the age of
18. I worked as a Bus Conductor for 5 years and then as a Bus Driver for 4 years.
Many people give excuses that they don't have any transport and money to do the business. I started this business only with a bicycle. I used to travel in autos to conduct Home Meetings but now I have three cars in India and a Mercedes Benz model S350 in Malaysia.
Success Path
I came to India with only four telephone numbers. In such conditions I have qualified a lot of PV worth of

It was then that I met my wife Kaviya. She was an actress but now she is a fulltime housewife and mother to our two kids beautiful & wonderful Sesodia and Moonisa. My success in this business would never have materialized without Kaviya's help. Today we have business in India, Singapore and Malaysia.

You must have the willingness to change, listen and accept to advice. Strengthen your business foundation by learning, sponsoring, selling and expanding so that your
organization will have more room to grow.

We were introduced to the Amway business, when we were extremely busy with our careers. We attended a meeting and though we did not understand much, the positive atmosphere and the recognition were enough to get us started.

My only name is Chandana and Ashis’s nick name is Chandan. God has made us for each other – “RAB NE BANA DE JODI”. We were born on Thursday in Asansol (West Bengal) having ‘O’+ve blood group, eldest of our siblings and both are Mathematicians. Our marriage is arranged but we are happily married for last 22 years, and are blessed with two daughters ‘SREJA’ and ‘SHREYA’.
I was a homemaker, and now a Dream maker. I am a post graduate in Mathematics with B.Ed. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and started research work but did not complete my Ph.D. degree due to our decision to build the Amway business. Ashis is a Professor of Mathematics in Jadavpur University with excellent academic qualification: Post graduate, M. Phil. and Ph.D.
When this Amway business came to us, we were well-placed, living a comfortable life, but Ashis had no time for us due to his academic activities and collaborative research works with foreign universities. I am an Electrical & Electronics Engineer and my wife is a Dentist by Profession. I was sponsored by a stranger who met me on a bus travel. I first joined this business as I felt there is nothing to lose, but eventually I realised its potential when I started using the products and attended many meetings.
I started the business at the age of 21. Initially, I faced lots of criticism and rejections. Many of my friends and relatives thought that I had made a wrong decision. But by working consistently and persistently, I proved my decision was right when I qualified as one of the youngest Ruby Direct.
In 2004, Sripriya came into my life and after she joined me, I experienced the real joy and power of working together. Now we are blessed with a 5 years old son LVN.Vishvajit Raj.

I am a veterinary Surgeon graduated from Veterinay College and Research Institute, Namakkal, Tamilnadu. My wife Suguna Sathia is a post graduate with B.Ed in Chemistry, from Trivandrum, Kerala. We are blessed with two God gifted children, S.Harshaw Kamal and S. Sangeeth Kamal, studying in 8th & 6th standard respectively.
While the Amway business opportunity was shown in 2000, I was working in a government sector as Manager. At that time, I rejected the idea with closed mind. I was running with my busy works schedule without knowing where I was going.
After three years , I joined Amway business as the result of three years continuous follow up by the family. At that time my wife was working as +2 teacher in Govt school.
For the first two months, we didn’t do anything very seriously. When I attended few Amway training Programs in Trivandrum, my mind was opened and my thought process turned 180 degree. I could see a different real world and took a strong and concrete decision.
With Amway business opportunity in my hand, I ran around Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh but faced lot of rejections. Even my close friends and relatives didn’t give positive reply. But all the failures made me stronger.

Sneh’s father is a farmer and she comes from Ghonasi near Udgir, a very small village in Latur. After 7th she had to go to Udgir for further education and frequently she had to walk 14kms to go to School. She also accompanied her Grand mother to neighbouring villages to sell bananas.
I practised Income Tax and Co-Operative Laws in Mumbai for a year, and then because of fathers health challenge, I had to shift to Kolhapur, where I resumed my Practice. When I saw this business in 1998, I was practising Law, was busy from 7.15am to 10.30pm at night. I also owned a Readymade Garments Showroom & Computer Stationery Software Division in Kolhapur, so I was called SET in life, but had no time for family or for myself. He consulted with his upline Leaders who encouraged him for the same.Two of his legs were strong and doing good business with some promising Leaders emerging in these groups. The challenge was getting a new third leg which could help him achieve his dream of Emeraldship. He started working towards developing his third leg with great enthusiasm.One day after he did a home meeting, he was introduced to Rakesh Prasad by the host for the meeting.
Anil advised Rakesh to place orders through him only so he could keep a track on the volume. Anil: Rakesh, you can give your orders to me since I go to the Amway o�ce regularly. I will bring the products for you - this way, you can attend to your shop and customers without any disturbance. Rakesh started retailing products through his shop and placing orders with his upline Anil. He made a nice show case for the product display. Since he had a lot of regular customers, it was not di�cult for him to sell his Amway products. His business began to grow quickly.
Rakesh “ I accept receiving products from my upline, who has been placing orders for me earlier also.. Anil replied to the Company “ I have given the product to my downline and have no control on how the downline retails the same. I, as an upline, should not be held responsible for the downline’s mistake”. Termination action was initiated against Rakesh for selling through his retail shop. Neither airlines, nor hotels, nor ground-handling agents, are organized or internally structured to host such a large group. However, thanks to meticulous planning & teamwork, a grand programme was stitched together, which will stay in the memory of one and all as the grandest event organized by Amway India to date!!!!!!!
On 11th December, the Business Session was held at the amazingly designed & prestigious Melbourne Convention & Exhibition centre …which can seat more than 5000 people at a time – in a truly overwhelming setting & atmosphere - it gave the opportunity to discuss business, and lay the foundations for future business goals & strengthen business relationships. The session had three Founders Council Members from di�erent countries as guest speakers. 37 New Diamonds & above were recognized during the business session, , which was a highlight. Senior Management from Amway also made impactful presentations. The Business Session was followed by a grand lunch.
The Melbourne ALS had many firsts to its credit – • 4000 pax travelling, that too in a single batch• 8 hotels used in a single city, • 46 different flight combinations from / to India • first time that the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) has been given out to any corporate in the world. • Founder Council members as guest speakers in the Business Session• Usage of more than 100 luxury coaches in a single day to transport qualifiers to their destinations
On 12th December, all participants were taken to PHILLIP ISLAND, which is a renowned nature park and a must visit for anyone going to Melbourne. It gave us an opportunity to see the unique range of Australian wildlife attractions like Koala Conservation Centre, Churchill Island Heritage Farm & not to forget the world famous Penguin Parade. On this day, PHILLIP ISLAND was exclusively reserved for Amway India guests only.
On 10th & 14th December (in separate batches due to logistic reasons) ABOs were taken on another unforgettable excursion to the GOLD MINES or SOVEREIGN HILL at Ballarat which was reserved exclusively for Amway guests on these 2 days. Gold Mines /Sovereign Hill is Australia’s foremost outdoor museum where they create Ballarat’s �rst ten years after the discovery of Gold in 1851 when thousands of international adventurers rushed in search of fortune. This is the place where Australia’s history comes to life. ABOs were ready for some Gold Mining...and many took back some GOLD as souvenir's !!!!
If these two days of exclusive sightseeing was not enough, the grand �nale of the event was the Closing Ceremony at the world renowned MCG. The gigantic stadium of almost 1 lakh capacity was reserved for Amway on 13th December. This is �rst time ever that the MCG has been rented out to any corporate. Diamonds & above had the privilege of walking through the Museum that houses Cricket memorabilia of more than 100 years. They also had a separate High Tea / cocktails. EDCs & above were treated to an exclusive “Shane Warne show”, the legendary Australian leg-spinner as well as an interaction with ex-Australian wicket keeper batsman & IPL superstar – Adam Gilchrist.
From 3 in the afternoon until 11 in the night, it was one long unforgettable carnival at the MCG. Diamond’s & above were escorted by a marching band to their respective special seating enclosures, Founder Council Members were given a grand entry onto the seating area in luxury cars….a great privilege at the MCG. The ABOs were addressed by many dignitaries from Australia & senior Amway management.
How could we be at the MCG and not have cricket…..yes…we did have an exhibition cricket match…and the privilege to get on to the world famous turf was given to some of the �tter Diamonds and a few associates. These “Amway players” were cheered by the ABOs for every
good stroke, delivery & �elding (as well as the false / missed oness) .…the star of the match was Adam Gilchrist who was one of the umpires…? Who won the match was not the main issue…rather that the players (Diamonds) contested in true spirit of the gentleman's game on MCG Turf. Trophies & medallions were presented after the match. Later, Gilchrist…..…who is also a Nutriway Brand Ambassador addressed the participants on Nutrition & Fitness & his thoughts on leadership.
The never-ending carnival continued and was followed by much more entertainment on the agenda that included, a show by String Divas, the amazing Entertainment by the Indian Troupe of famous singer Mika and concluded with �reworks that lit up the Melbourne sky... All these events enthralled the ABOs who just wished the evening never ended….All this while, the ABOs were treated to mouth-watering range of snacks….while they danced away to the music, the cricket-match & the various shows, in the stands of the MCG…for an evening they would never forget in their lives. The evening ended with a most grand dinner ceremony at the MCG.
Besides the busy & exciting schedule at Melbourne, the participants also had leisure time to explore the city as well as well as shop, which were adequately taken care of.
While most in India were covered in woolens , owing to the onset of winter, ABOs were enjoying the pleasant summer in Melbourne. The Tourism Ministry of Australia supported trip right from the beginning when the destination was chosen. The large-scale usage of facilities, made the city sit up & take notice of our large contingent of 4000 pax.
All eyes are now set on the many additional events of 2013 in Thailand (Family Business Trip and 2nd generation Business Trip) and the next Mega ALS at Toronto.

persons also need space to walk.
For the 12th successive year, AOF celebrated International White Cane Day
along with its 16 partner NGOs working for the visually challenged. Along
with white canes distribution to visually challenged students, in many cities,
AOF along with its volunteers went the extra mile to draw attention of
vehicle users to the plight of the visually challenged by organizing a road
show/walkathon to sensitize the vehicle users to be sensitive to the visually
challenged and the importance of White Cane.
