Supplication of Imam in the Morning of Ashura In the morning of the day of Āshura the horsemen of the enemy launched an attack on

the ranks of the Imam The Imam raised his hands in prayer and said O Lord I depend

on you in every affliction and am hopeful of Your blessing in every hardship In every

difficulty with which I am faced You are my only remedy and resort There have been

many embarrassments which weakened my heart and no remedy for it was available

The friends did not assist me and the enemies rejoiced at my misfortune However when

I ceased to seek assistance from everyone except You and sought the remedy only from

You You provided me solace and relief and removed the difficulty Every blessing and

goodness reaches us from You and everything should be sought from You only

Stay away from food and water until late afternoon (This is not a fast (sawm) and thus

should not be kept with the intention of fasting)

Focus on the great tragedy that took place on this day and avoid laughing and

unnecessary chitchat

Recite Salawaacutet as many times as possible

اللـهم صل على حممد وآل حممدO Allaacuteh bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

When meeting fellow Shiacuteahs condole them in the following words

السالم عليه باحلسني مبصابنا اجورنا اهللا اعظم May Allaacuteh make our reward and your reward great for our grief for Husayn peace be

on him

1 الفاحتة سورة

﴾11﴿ بسم الله الرمحن الرحيم

(1) In the Name of Allah the All‐beneficent the All‐merciful

﴾12﴿ احلمد لله رب العالمني

(2) All praise belongs to Allah Lord of all the worlds

﴾13﴿ الرمحن الرحيم

﴾15﴿وإياك نستعني إياك نـعبد

(5) YOU [alone] do we worship and to You [alone] do we turn for help

(6) Guide us on the straight path

غضوب عليهم وال الضالني ﴾17﴿صراط الذين أنعمت عليهم غري امل

(7) the path of those whom You have blessed ـsuch as have not incurred Your wrath

In the Name of Allah the All‐beneficent the All‐merciful

﴾1121﴿ قل هو الله أحد

(1) Say lsquoHe is Allah the One

﴾1122﴿ الله الصمد

(2) Allah is the All‐embracing

﴾1123﴿ مل يلد ومل يولد

(3) He neither begat nor was begotten

﴾1124﴿ومل يكن له كفوا أحد (4) nor has He any equalrsquo

109 سورة الكافرون بسم الله الرمحن الرحيم


﴾1091﴿قل يا أيـها الكافرون

(1) Say lsquoO faithless ones

﴾1092﴿ال أعبد ما تـعبدون

(2) I do not worship what you worship

﴾1093﴿وال أنتم عابدون ما أعبد

(3) nor do you worship what I worship

﴾1094﴿وال أنا عابد ما عبدمت

(4) nor will I worship what you have worshiped


(5) nor will you worship what I worship

﴾1096﴿لكم دينكم ويل دين (6) To you your religion and to me my religion

Suacutera al‐Ahzaacuteb

33 سورة األحزاب بسم اهللا الرمحن الرحيم

In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful

يا أيـها النيب اتق الله وال تطع الكافرين والمنافقني إن الله كان عليما حكيما [331] O Prophet be careful of (your duty to) Allah and do not comply with (the wishes

of) the unbelievers and the hypocrites surely Allah is Knowing Wise

واتبع ما يوحى إليك من ربك إن الله كان مبا تـعملون خبريا [332] And follow what is revealed to you from your Lord surely Allah is Aware of what

you do

وتـوكل على الله وكفى بالله وكيال [333] And rely on Allah and Allah is sufficient for a Protector

ئي تظاهرون منـهن ما جعل الله لرجل من قـلبـني يف جوفه وما جعل أزواجكم ا لالأمهاتكم وما جعل أدعياءكم أبـناءكم ذلكم قـولكم بأفـواهكم والله يـقول احلق وهو

يـهدي السبيل [334] Allah has not made for any man two hearts within him nor has He made your

wives whose backs you liken to the backs of your mothers as your mothers nor has He

made those whom you assert to be your sons your real sons these are the words of

your mouths and Allah speaks the truth and He guides to the way

ين ادعوهم آلبائهم هو أقسط عند الله فإن مل تـعلموا آباءهم فإخوانكم يف الدعمدت قـلوبكم وكان الله ومواليكم وليس عليكم جناح فيما أخطأمت به ولكن ما تـ

غفورا رحيما [335] Assert their relationship to their fathers this is more equitable with Allah but if

you do not know their fathers then they are your brethren in faith and your friends and

there is no blame on you concerning that in which you made a mistake but (concerning)

that which your hearts do purposely (blame may rest on you) and Allah is Forgiving

Merciful

لو األرحام بـعضهم أوىل ببـعض النيب أوىل بالمؤمنني من أنفسهم وأزواجه أمهاتـهم وأو يف يف كتاب الله من المؤمنني والمهاجرين إال أن تـفعلوا إىل أوليائكم معروفا كان ذلك

الكتاب مسطورا [336] The Prophet has a greater claim on the faithful than they have on themselves

and his wives are (as) their mothers and the possessors of relationship have the better

claim in the ordinance of Allah to inheritance one with respect to another than (other)

believers and (than) those who have fled (their homes) except that you do some good

to your friends this is written in the Book

وإذ أخذنا من النبيني ميثاقـهم ومنك ومن نوح وإبـراهيم وموسى وعيسى ابن مرمي وأخذنا منـهم ميثاقا غليظا

[337] And when We made a covenant with the prophets and with you and with Nuh

and Ibrahim and Musa and Isa son of Marium and We made with them a strong

covenant

ليسأل الصادقني عن صدقهم وأعد للكافرين عذابا أليما


[338] That He may question the truthful of their truth and He has prepared for the

unbelievers a painful punishment

يا أيـها الذين آمنوا اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ جاءتكم جنود فأرسلنا عليهم رحيا ان الله مبا تـعملون بصريا وجنودا مل تـروها وك

[339] O you who believe call to mind the favor of Allah to you when there came down

upon you hosts so We sent against them a strong wind and hosts that you saw not and

Allah is Seeing what you do

من فـوقكم ومن أسفل منكم وإذ زاغت األبصار وبـلغت القلوب احلناجر إذ جاؤوكم وتظنون بالله الظنونا

[3310] When they came upon you from above you and from below you and when the

eyes turned dull and the hearts rose up to the throats and you began to think diverse

thoughts of Allah

هنالك ابـتلي المؤمنون وزلزلوا زلزاال شديدا [3311] There the believers were tried and they were shaken with severe shaking

وإذ يـقول المنافقون والذين يف قـلوم مرض ما وعدنا الله ورسوله إال غرورا [3312] And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was a disease began to say

Allah and His Messenger did not promise us (victory) but only to deceive

هم النيب هم يا أهل يـثرب ال مقام لكم فارجعوا ويستأذن فريق منـ وإذ قالت طائفة منـ يـقولون إن بـيوتـنا عورة وما هي بعورة إن يريدون إال فرارا

[3313] And when a party of them said O people of Yathrib there is no place to stand

for you (here) therefore go back and a party of them asked permission of the prophet

saying Surely our houses are exposed and they were not exposed they only desired to

fly away


ا إال يسريا نة آلتـوها وما تـلبثوا ولو دخلت عليهم من أقطارها مث سئلوا الفتـ[3314] And if an entry were made upon them from the outlying parts of it then they

were asked to wage war they would certainly have done it and they would not have

stayed in it but a little while

ولقد كانوا عاهدوا الله من قـبل ال يـولون األدبار وكان عهد الله مسؤوال [3315] And certainly they had made a covenant with Allah before that) they would not

turn (their) backs and Allahs covenant shall be inquired of

قل لن ينفعكم الفرار إن فـررمت من الموت أو القتل وإذا ال متتـعون إال قليال [3316] Say Flight shall not do you any good if you fly from death or slaughter and in

that case you will not be allowed to enjoy yourselves but a little

قل من ذا الذي يـعصمكم من الله إن أراد بكم سوءا أو أراد بكم رمحة وال جيدون هلم ال نصريا من دون الله وليا و

[3317] Say Who is it that can withhold you from Allah if He intends to do you evil

rather He intends to show you mercy And they will not find for themselves besides

Allah any guardian or a helper

نا وال يأتون البأس إال م هلم إليـ خوا قليال قد يـعلم الله المعوقني منكم والقائلني إل[3318] Allah knows indeed those among you who hinder others and those who say to

their brethren Come to us and they come not to the fight but a little

ة عليكم فإذا جاء اخلوف رأيـتـهم ينظرون إليك تدور أعيـنـهم كالذي يـغشى عليه أشحة على اخل ري أولئك مل يـؤمنوا من الموت فإذا ذهب اخلوف سلقوكم بألسنة حداد أشح

فأحبط الله أعماهلم وكان ذلك على الله يسريا


[3319] Being niggardly with respect to you but when fear comes you will see them

looking to you their eyes rolling like one swooning because of death but when the fear

is gone they smite you with sharp tongues being niggardly of the good things These

have not believed therefore Allah has made their doing naught and this is easy to

Allah

حزاب يـودوا لو أنـهم بادون يف األعراب حيسبون األحزاب مل يذهبوا وإن يأت األ يسألون عن أنبائكم ولو كانوا فيكم ما قاتـلوا إال قليال

[3320] They think the allies are not gone and if the allies should come (again) they

would fain be in the deserts with the desert Arabs asking for news about you and if they

were among you they would not fight save a little

لقد كان لكم يف رسول الله أسوة حسنة لمن كان يـرجو الله واليـوم اآلخر وذكر الله كثريا

[3321] Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who

hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much

سوله وما ولما رأى المؤمنون األحزاب قالوا هذا ما وعدنا الله ورسوله وصدق الله ور زادهم إال إميانا وتسليما

[3322] And when the believers saw the allies they said This is what Allah and His

Messenger promised us and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth and it only

increased them in faith and submission

من المؤمنني رجال صدقوا ما عاهدوا الله عليه فمنـهم من قضى حنبه ومنـهم من ينتظر لوا تـبديال وما بد


[3323] Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant which they made with

Allah so of them is he who accomplished his vow and of them is he who yet waits and

they have not changed in the least

ليجزي الله الصادقني بصدقهم ويـعذب المنافقني إن شاء أو يـتوب عليهم إن الله كان غفورا رحيما

[3324] That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if

He please or turn to them (mercifully) surely Allah is Forgiving Merciful

را وكفى الله الم ؤمنني القتال وكان الله قويا ورد الله الذين كفروا بغيظهم مل يـنالوا خيـ عزيزا

[3325] And Allah turned back the unbelievers in their rage they did not obtain any

advantage and Allah sufficed the believers in fighting and Allah is Strong Mighty

هم من أهل الكتاب من صياصيهم وقذف يف قـلوم الرعب فريقا وأنزل الذين ظاهرو تـقتـلون وتأسرون فريقا

[3326] And He drove down those of the followers of the Book who backed them from

their fortresses and He cast awe into their hearts some you killed and you took captive

another part

ا وأورثكم أرضهم وديارهم وأمواهلم وأرضا مل تطؤوها وكان الله على كل شيء قدير [3327] And He made you heirs to their land and their dwellings and their property and

(to) a land which you have not yet trodden and Allah has power over all things

نـيا وزينتـها فـتـعالني أمتـعك زواجك إن كننت تردن احلياة الد ن يا أيـها النيب قل ألي ال وأسرحكن سراحا مج


[3328] O Prophet say to your wives If you desire this worlds life and its adornment

then come I will give you a provision and allow you to depart a goodly departing

ار اآلخرة فإن الله أعد للمحسنات منكن أجرا ع ظيما وإن كننت تردن الله ورسوله والد [3329] And if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the latter abode then surely

Allah has prepared for the doers of good among you a mighty reward

يا نساء النيب من يأت منكن بفاحشة مبـيـنة يضاعف هلا العذاب ضعفني وكان ذلك على الله يسريا

[3330] O wives of the prophet whoever of you commits an open indecency the

punishment shall be increased to her doubly and this IS easy to Allah

ا أجرها مرتـني وأعتدنا هلا رزقا كرميا ومن يـقنت منكن لله ورسوله وتـعمل صاحلا نـؤ [3331] And whoever of you is obedient to Allah and His Messenger and does good We

will give to her her reward doubly and We have prepared for her an honorable

sustenance

ختضعن بالقول فـيطمع الذي يف يا نساء النيب لسنت كأحد من النساء إن اتـقينت فال قـلبه مرض وقـلن قـوال معروفا

[3332] O wives of the Prophet you are not like any other of the women If you will be

on your guard then be not soft in (your) speech lest he in whose heart is a disease

yearn and speak a good word

طعن الله وقـرن يف بـيوتكن وال تـبـرجن تـبـرج اجلاهلية األوىل وأقمن الصالة وآتني الزكاة وأ ا يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البـيت ويطهركم تطهريا ورسوله إمن

[3333] And stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the

ignorance of yore and keep up prayer and pay the poor‐rate and obey Allah and His


Messenger Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you O people of the

House and to purify you a (thorough) purifying

واذكرن ما يـتـلى يف بـيوتكن من آيات الله واحلكمة إن الله كان لطيفا خبريا [3334] And keep to mind what is recited in your houses of the communications of Allah

and the wisdom surely Allah is Knower of subtleties Aware

إن المسلمني والمسلمات والمؤمنني والمؤمنات والقانتني والقانتات والصادقني قات والصادقات والصابرين والص قني والمتصد ابرات واخلاشعني واخلاشعات والمتصد

اكرات اكرين الله كثريا والذ والصائمني والصائمات واحلافظني فـروجهم واحلافظات والذيما أعد الله هلم مغفرة وأجرا عظ

[3335] Surely the men who submit and the women who submit and the believing men

and the believing women and the obeying men and the obeying women and the

truthful men and the truthful women and the patient men and the patient women and

the humble men and the humble women and the almsgiving men and the almsgiving

women and the fasting men and the fasting women and the men who guard their

private parts and the women who guard and the men who remember Allah much and

the women who remember‐‐ Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty

reward

وما كان لمؤمن وال مؤمنة إذا قضى الله ورسوله أمرا أن يكون هلم اخليـرة من أمرهم ومن يـعص الله ورسوله فـقد ضل ضالال مبينا

[3336] And it behoves not a believing man and a believing woman that they should

have any choice in their matter when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter

and whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger he surely strays off a manifest straying


تـقول للذي أنـعم الله عليه وأنـعمت عليه أمسك عليك زوجك واتق الله وختفي يف وإذ ها وطرا نـفسك ما الله مبديه وختشى الناس والله أحق أن ختشاه فـلما قضى زيد منـ

ها لكي ال يكون على المؤمنني حرج يف أزواج أدعيائهم إذا قضوا منـهن وطرا زوجناك وكان أمر الله مفعوال

[3337] And when you said to him to whom Allah had shown favor and to whom you had

shown a favor Keep your wife to yourself and be careful of (your duty to) Allah and you

concealed in your soul what Allah would bring to light and you feared men and Allah

had a greater right that you should fear Him But when Zaid had accomplished his want

of her We gave her to you as a wife so that there should be no difficulty for the

believers in respect of the wives of their adopted sons when they have accomplished

their want of them and Allahs command shall be performed

ا فـرض الله له سنة الله يف الذين خلوا من قـبل وكان ما كان على النيب من حرج فيم أمر

الله قدرا مقدورا [3338] There is no harm in the Prophet doing that which Allah has ordained for him

such has been the course of Allah with respect to those who have gone before and the

command of Allah is a decree that is made absolute

الذين يـبـلغون رساالت الله وخيشونه وال خيشون أحدا إال الله وكفى بالله حسيبا [3339] Those who deliver the messages of Allah and fear Him and do not fear any one

but Allah and Allah is sufficient to take account

د أبا أحد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله وخامت النبيني وكان الله بكل شيء ما كان حمم عليما


[3340] Muhammad is not the father of any of your men but he is the Messenger of

Allah and the Last of the prophets and Allah is cognizant of all things

يا أيـها الذين آمنوا اذكروا الله ذكرا كثريا [3341] O you who believe remember Allah remembering frequently

وسبحوه بكرة وأصيال [3342] And glorify Him morning and evening

هو الذي يصلي عليكم ومالئكته ليخرجكم من الظلمات إىل النور وكان بالمؤمنني رحيما

[3343] He it is Who sends His blessings on you and (so do) His angels that He may

bring you forth out of utter darkness into the light and He is Merciful to the believers

حتيتـهم يـوم يـلقونه سالم وأعد هلم أجرا كرميا [3344] Their salutation on the day that they meet Him shall be Peace and He has

prepared for them an honorable reward

يا أيـها النيب إنا أرسلناك شاهدا ومبشرا ونذيرا [3345] O Prophet surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news

and as a warner

وداعيا إىل الله بإذنه وسراجا منريا [3346] And as one inviting to Allah by His permission and as a light‐giving torch

المؤمنني بأن هلم من الله فضال كبريا وبشر [3347] And give to the believers the good news that they shall have a great grace from

Allah


الله وكيال وال تطع الكافرين والمنافقني ودع أذاهم وتـوكل على الله وكفى ب [3348] And be not compliant to the unbelievers and the hypocrites and leave

unregarded their annoying talk and rely on Allah and Allah is sufficient as a Protector

طلقتموهن من قـبل أن متسوهن فما لكم يا أيـها الذين آمنوا إذا نكحتم المؤمنات مث يال ة تـعتدونـها فمتـعوهن وسرحوهن سراحا مج عليهن من عد

[3349] O you who believe when you marry the believing women then divorce them

before you touch them you have in their case no term which you should reckon so

make some provision for them and send them forth a goodly sending forth

يت آتـيت أجورهن وما ملكت ميينك مم ا أفاء يا أيـها النيب إنا أحللنا لك أزواجك الاليت هاجرن الله عليك وبـنات عمك وبـنات عماتك وبـنات خالك وبـنات خاالتك الال

من معك وامرأة مؤمنة إن وهبت نـفسها للنيب إن أراد النيب أن يستنكحها خالصة لك ن المؤمنني قد علمنا ما فـرضنا عليهم يف أزواجهم وما ملكت أميانـهم لكيال يكون دو

عليك حرج وكان الله غفورا رحيما [3350] O Prophet surely We have made lawful to you your wives whom you have given

their dowries and those whom your right hand possesses out of those whom Allah has

given to you as prisoners of war and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the

daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the

daughters of your maternal aunts who fled with you and a believing woman if she gave

herself to the Prophet if the Prophet desired to marry her‐‐ specially for you not for the

(rest of) believers We know what We have ordained for them concerning their wives

and those whom their right hands possess in order that no blame may attach to you

and Allah is Forgiving Merciful


تـرجي من تشاء منـهن وتـؤوي إليك من تشاء ومن ابـتـغيت ممن عزلت فال جناح عليك أن تـقر أعيـنـهن وال حيزن ويـرضني مبا آتـيتـهن كلهن والله يـعلم ما يف قـلوبكم ذلك أدىن

وكان الله عليما حليما [3351] You may put off whom you please of them and you may take to you whom you

please and whom you desire of those whom you had separated provisionally no blame

attaches to you this is most proper so that their eyes may be cool and they may not

grieve and that they should be pleased all of them with what you give them and Allah

knows what is in your hearts and Allah is Knowing Forbearing

ال حيل لك النساء من بـعد وال أن تـبدل ن من أزواج ولو أعجبك حسنـهن إال ما ملكت ميينك وكان الله على كل شيء رقيبا

[3352] It is not allowed to you to take women afterwards nor that you should change

them for other wives though their beauty be pleasing to you except what your right

hand possesses and Allah is Watchful over all things

ر ناظرين إناه يا أيـها الذين آمنوا ال تدخلوا بـ يوت النيب إال أن يـؤذن لكم إىل طعام غيـولكن إذا دعيتم فادخلوا فإذا طعمتم فانتشروا وال مستأنسني حلديث إن ذلكم كان

ال يستحيي من احلق وإذا سألتموهن متاعا فاسألوهن يـؤذي النيب فـيستحيي منكم والله من وراء حجاب ذلكم أطهر لقلوبكم وقـلون وما كان لكم أن تـؤذوا رسول الله وال

لكم كان عند الله عظيما أن تنكحوا أزواجه من بـعده أبدا إن ذ [3353] O you who believe do not enter the houses of the Prophet unless permission is

given to you for a meal not waiting for its cooking being finished‐‐ but when you are

invited enter and when you have taken the food then disperse‐‐ not seeking to listen

to talk surely this gives the Prophet trouble but he forbears from you and Allah does


not forbear from the truth And when you ask of them any goods ask of them from

behind a curtain this is purer for your hearts and (for) their hearts and it does not

behove you that you should give trouble to the Messenger of Allah nor that you should

marry his wives after him ever surely this is grievous in the sight of Allah

الله كان بكل شيء عليما إن تـبدوا شيئا أو ختفوه فإن [3354] If you do a thing openly or do it in secret then surely Allah is Cognizant of all

things

ن وال ن وال أبـناء إخوا ن ال جناح عليهن يف آبائهن وال أبـنائهن وال إخوا أبـناء أخوا وال نسائهن وال ما ملكت أميانـهن واتقني الله إن الله كان على كل شيء شهيدا

[3355] There is no blame on them in respect of their fathers nor their brothers nor

their brothers sons nor their sisters sons nor their own women nor of what their right

hands possess and be careful of (your duty to) Allah surely Allah is a witness of all

things

صلوا عليه وسلموا تسليما إن الله ومالئكته يصلون على النيب يا أيـها الذين آمنوا [3356] Surely Allah and His angels bless the Prophet O you who believe call for

(Divine) blessings on him and salute him with a (becoming) salutation

نـيا واآلخرة وأعد هلم عذابا مهينا إن الذين يـؤذون الله ورسوله لعنـهم الل ه يف الد [3357] Surely (as for) those who speak evil things of Allah and His Messenger Allah has

cursed them in this world and the here after and He has prepared for them a

chastisement bringing disgrace

غري ما اكتسبوا فـقد احتملوا بـهتانا وإمثا مبينا والذين يـؤذون المؤمنني والمؤمنات ب [3358] And those who speak evil things of the believing men and the believing women

without their having earned (it) they are guilty indeed of a false accusation and a

manifest sin


زواجك وبـناتك ونساء المؤمنني يدنني عليهن من جالبيبهن ذل ك يا أيـها النيب قل أل أدىن أن يـعرفن فال يـؤذين وكان الله غفورا رحيما

[3359] O Prophet say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the

believers that they let down upon them their over‐garments this will be more proper

that they may be known and thus they will not be given trouble and Allah is Forgiving

Merciful

ذين يف قـلوم مرض والمرجفون يف المدينة لنـغريـنك م مث ال لئن مل ينته المنافقون وال جياورونك فيها إال قليال

[3360] If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease and the agitators in the

city do not desist We shall most certainly set you over them then they shall not be your

neighbors in it but for a little while

ملعونني أيـنما ثقفوا أخذوا وقـتـلوا تـقتيال [3361] Cursed wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered a (horrible)

murdering

سنة الله يف الذين خلوا من قـبل ولن جتد لسنة الله تـبديال [3362] (Such has been) the course of Allah with respect to those who have gone before

and you shall not find any change in the course of Allah

ا علمها عند الله وما يدريك لعل الساعة تكون قريبا يسألك الناس عن الساعة قل إمن[3363] Men ask you about the hour say The knowledge of it is only with Allah and

what will make you comprehend that the hour may be nigh

إن الله لعن الكافرين وأعد هلم سعريا


[3364] Surely Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a burning

fire

خالدين فيها أبدا ال جيدون وليا وال نصريا [3365] To abide therein for a long time they shall not find a protector or a helper

يـوم تـقلب وجوههم يف النار يـقولون يا ليتـنا أطعنا الله وأطعنا الرسوال [3366] On the day when their faces shall be turned back into the fire they shall say O

would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger

بيال وقالوا ربـنا إنا أطعنا سادتـنا وكبـراءنا فأضلونا الس[3367] And they shall say O our Lord surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men

so they led us astray from the path

هم لعنا كبريا ربـنا آم ضعفني من العذاب والعنـ[3368] O our Lord give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse

سى فـبـرأه الله مما قالوا وكان عند الله يا أيـها الذين آمنوا ال تكونوا كالذين آذوا مو وجيها

[3369] O you who believe be not like those who spoke evil things of Musa but Allah

cleared him of what they said and he was worthy of regard with Allah

وا اتـقوا الله وقولوا قـوال سديدا يا أيـها الذين آمن [3370] O you who believe be careful of (your duty to) Allah and speak the right word

يصلح لكم أعمالكم ويـغفر لكم ذنوبكم ومن يطع الله ورسوله فـقد فاز فـوزا عظيما [3371] He will put your deeds into a right state for you and forgive you your faults and

whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger he indeed achieves a mighty success


ها إنا عرضنا األمانة على السماوات واألرض واجلبال فأبـني أن حيملنـها وأشفقن منـنسان إنه كان ظلوما جهوال ومحلها اإل

[3372] Surely We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains

but they refused to be unfaithful to it and feared from it and man has turned unfaithful

to it surely he is unjust ignorant

ركات ويـتوب الله على المؤمنني ليـعذب الله المنافقني والمنافقات والمشركني والمش والمؤمنات وكان الله غفورا رحيما

[3373] Allah will surely punish the hypocrites men and women and the polytheists

men and women and Allah will turn clemently to the faithful men and women and

Allah is all‐forgiving all‐merciful

Suacutera al‐Munaacutefiquacuten

63 سورة املنافقون

بسم اهللا الرمحن الرحيم In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful

هد إن إذا جاءك المنافقون قالوا نشهد إنك لرسول الله والله يـعلم إنك لرسوله والله يش المنافقني لكاذبون

[631] When the hypocrites come to you they say We bear witness that you are most

surely Allahs Messenger and Allah knows that you are most surely His Messenger and

Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are surely liars

اختذوا أميانـهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله إنـهم ساء ما كانوا يـعملون [632] They make their oaths a shelter and thus turn away from Allahs way surely evil

is that which they do

ذلك بأنـهم آمنوا مث كفروا فطبع على قـلوم فـهم ال يـفقهون [633] That is because they believe then disbelieve so a seal is set upon their hearts so

that they do not understand

ن وإذا رأيـتـهم تـعجبك أجسامهم وإن يـقولوا تسمع لقوهلم كأنـهم خشب مسندة حيسبو ه أىن يـؤفكون كل صيحة عليهم هم العدو فاحذرهم قاتـلهم الل

[634] And when you see them their persons will please you and If they speak you will

listen to their speech (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments

they think every cry to be against them They are the enemy therefore beware of them

may Allah destroy them whence are they turned back

وإذا قيل هلم تـعالوا يستـغفر لكم رسول الله لووا رؤوسهم ورأيـتـهم يصدون وهم مستكربون

[635] And when it is said to them Come the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for

you they turn back their heads and you may see them turning away while they are big

with pride

لقوم سواء عليهم أستـغفرت هلم أم مل تستـغفر هلم لن يـغفر الله هلم إن الله ال يـهدي ا الفاسقني

[636] It is alike to them whether you beg forgiveness for them or do not beg forgiveness

for them Allah will never forgive them surely Allah does not guide the transgressing

people

هم الذين يـقولون ال تنفقوا على من عند رسول الله حىت ينفضوا ولله خزائن السماوات واألرض ولكن المنافقني ال يـفقهون


[637] They it is who say Do not spend upon those who are with the Messenger of Allah

until they break up And Allahs are the treasures of the heavens and the earth but the

hypocrites do not understand

ها األذل ولله العزة ولرسوله وللمؤمنني يـقولون لئن رجعنا إىل المدينة ليخرجن األعز منـ ولكن المنافقني ال يـعلمون

[638] They say If we return to Medina the mighty will surely drive out the meaner

there from and to Allah belongs the might and to His Messenger and to the believers

but the hypocrites do not know

يا أيـها الذين آمنوا ال تـلهكم أموالكم وال أوالدكم عن ذكر الله ومن يـفعل ذلك فأولئك هم اخلاسرون

[639] O you who believe let not your wealth or your children divert you from the

remembrance of Allah and whoever does that these are the losers

رتين إىل وأنفقوا من ما رزقـناكم من قـبل أن يأيت أحدكم الموت فـيـقول رب لوال أخ أجل قريب فأصدق وأكن من الصاحلني

[6310] And spend out of what We have given you before death comes to one of you so

that he should say My Lord why didst Thou not respite me to a near term so that I

should have given alms and been of the doers of good deeds

ر الله نـفسا إذا جاء أجلها والله خبري مبا تـعملون ولن يـؤخ[6311] And Allah does not respite a soul when its appointed term has come and Allah is

Aware of what you do


Recite (Ziyarat of Aacuteshura) زيارة عاشوراء السالم عليك يا ابا عبداهللا

Peace be on you O Abu Abdillaacuteh

السالم عليك يا بن رسول اهللا Peace be on you O son of the Messenger of Allaacuteh

خريته السالم عليك يا خيـرة اهللا وابن Peace be on you O the chosen one and the son of the chosen one

السالم عليك يا بن امري المؤمنني Peace be on you O son of the Commander of the Faithful

وابن سيد الوصيني and the son of the chief of the successors

السالم عليك يا بن فاطمة سيدة نساء العالمني Peace be on you O son of Faacutetima al‐Zahraacute the chief of the women of the worlds

السالم عليك يا ثار اهللا وابن ثارهPeace be on you O fearless warrior of Allaacuteh the son of His fearless warrior

والوتـر الموتورthe one who was alone and wronged by the murder of relatives

السالم عليك وعلى االرواح اليت حلت بفنائك Peace be on you and on the souls who died with you

عليكم مين مجيعا سالم اهللا ابدا ما بقيت وبقى الليل والنهار I send peace of AIlaacuteh on all of you forever so long as I remain alive and the night and

day remains

ظمت الرزية يا ابا عبداهللا لقد ع O Abu Abdillaacuteh great is the loss

وجلت وعظمت المصيبة بك عليناand unbearable and great is your tragedy for us

وعلى مجيع اهل االسالم and for all the people of Islaacutem

السماوات وجلت وعظمت مصيبتك يف and unbearable and great is your tragedy in the heavens

على مجيع اهل السماوات and for all the dwellers of the heavens

فـلعن اهللا امة اسست اساس الظلم May Allaacuteh curse the people who laid the basis of oppression

واجلور عليكم اهل البـيت and the wrongs done against you people of the House

ولعن اهللا امة دفـعتكم عن مقامكم May Allaacuteh curse those who denied you

وازالتكم عن مراتبكم اليت رتـبكم اهللا فيهاand removed you from the rank which Allaacuteh had given you

ولعن اهللا امة قـتـلتكم May Allaacuteh curse the people who killed you

ولعن اهللا الممهدين هلم بالتمكني من قتالكم and those who made it easy for them by preparing the grounds for your killing

برئت اىل اهللا واليكم منـهم I turn to you and Allaacuteh away from them

ومن اشياعهم واتباعهم واوليائهمand their adherents their followers and their friends


يا ابا عبداهللا O Abu Abdillaacuteh

اين سلم لمن سالمكم I am at peace with those who make peace with you

وحرب لمن حاربكم اىل يـوم القيامة and I am at war with those who make war with you till the Day of Judgement

ولعن اهللا آل زياد وآل مروان May Allaacuteh curse the family of Ziyaacuted and the family of Marwaacuten

ولعن اهللا بين امية قاطبة and Allaacuteh curse all of the Baniacute Umayya

ولعن اهللا ابن مرجانة and Allaacuteh curse Ibne Marjaacutenah

ولعن اهللا عمر بن سعدMay Allaacuteh curse Umar ibne Saad

ولعن اهللا مشراand may Allaacuteh curse Shimr

ولعن اهللا امة اسرجت واجلمت وتـنـقبت لقتالك May Allaacuteh curse the people who carried out saw and were silent at your killing

بايب انت وامي لقد عظم مصايب بك My father and mother be sacrificed for you great is my sorrow for you

كرم مقامك واكرمين فاسأل اهللا الذي I pray to Allaacuteh who has honoured your status and honoured me through you

ان يـرزقين طلب ثارك مع امام منصورto grant me an opportunity to be with a victorious Imaacutem


منصور من اهل بـيت حممد صلى اهللا عليه وآله from the family of Muhammad blessings of Allaacuteh be on him and his family

اللـهم اجعلين عندك وجيها باحلسني O Allaacuteh make me worthy of respect with You through Husayn

نيا واالخرة عليه السالم يف الدpeace be on him in this world and the Hereafter

يا ابا عبداهللا اين اتـقرب اىل اهللا O Abu Abdillaacuteh I seek nearness to Allaacuteh

و اىل رسوله واىل امري المؤمنني and to His Messenger and to the Commander of the Faithful

احلسن واىل فاطمة واىل and to Faacutetima and to Hasan

واليك مبواالتكand to you through love for you

وبالرباءة ممن قاتـلك ونصب لك احلرب and through disassociating with those who killed you and prepared to fight you

ن اسس اساس الظلم واجلور عليكم وبالرباءة مم and disassociating with those who established the foundations of tyranny and wrongs

against you (O Ahl al‐Bayt)

وابـرأ اىل اهللا واىل رسوله ممن اسس اساس ذلك I turn to Allaacuteh and His Messenger disassociating with those who laid grounds for it

وبىن عليه بـنيانهand those who built the house of injustice upon it

وجرى يف ظلمه وجوره عليكم وعلى اشياعكم and carried out oppression and cruelty on you and your followers


برئت اىل اهللا واليكم منـهم I disassociate myself from them

واتـقرب اىل اهللا مث اليكم مبواالتكم ومواالة وليكم and seek nearness to Allaacuteh and then to you through love for you and your friends

وبالرباءة من اعدائكم والناصبني لكم احلرب and disassociation with your enemies and from those who went to war with you

وبالرباءة من اشياعهم واتباعهم and by disassociation with their adherents and followers

اين سلم لمن سالمكم I am at peace with those who made peace with you

وحرب لمن حاربكم and I am at war with those who went to war with you

ووىل لمن واالكم I befriend those who befriended you

وعدو لمن عاداكم and I am enemies with those who were your enemies

فاسأل اهللا الذي أكرمين مبعرفتكم ومعرفة اوليائكم I pray to Allaacuteh who has honoured me with awareness of you and awareness of your

friends

ورزقىن الرباءة من اعدائكم and has enabled me to withdraw from your enemies

نيا واالخرة ان جيعلين معكم يف الد(I pray) that He may place me with you in this world and the Hereafter

نيا واالخرة وا ن يـثبت يل عندكم قدم صدق يف الد


And (I pray) that He may strengthen for me a truthful stance in this world and the

Hereafter

واسأله ان يـبـلغىن المقام الحممود لكم عند اهللا And I pray that He may enable me to reach your honoured station with Allaacuteh

وان يـرزقين طلب ثاريand that He may grant me the opportunity to seek victory

مع امام هدى ظاهر ناطق باحلق منكم along with a rightly guided Imam from amongst you who will surely come and speak the

truth

واسأل اهللا حبقكم وبالشأن الذي لكم عنده I ask Allaacuteh for your sake and by the honoured position you have with Him

صيبته ان يـعطيين مبصايب بكم افضل ما يـعطي مصابا مب that He grants me grief at your sorrows more than the personal grief that troubles

anyone in tragedy

مصيبة ما اعظمها واعظم رزيـتها يف االسالم What great sorrows (you experienced) How great was your tragedy for Islaacutem

ويف مجيع السماوات واالرض and all the Heavens and the earth

اللـهم اجعلين يف مقاميO Allaacuteh make me at this moment

هذا ممن تناله منك صلوات ورمحة ومغفرة one who receives from You blessings mercy and forgiveness

اللـهم اجعل حمياى حميا حممد وآل حممدO Allaacuteh make me live the life of Muhammad and his family

وممايت ممات حممد وآل حممد


and make me die the death of Muhammad and his family

تـبـركت به بـنو امية اللـهم ان هذا يـوم O Allaacuteh this is a day when Bani Umayya rejoiced

وابن آكلة االكباد اللعني ابن اللعني [they were] the most hardened criminals the condemned son(s) of the condemned

لى اهللا عليه وآله على لسانك ولسان نبيك ص as said by You and Your Prophet blessings of Allaacuteh be on him and his family

يف كل موطن وموقف وقف فيه نبيك صلى اهللا عليه وآله who drew attention to this at every place and occasion

اللـهم العن ابا سفيان ومعاوية O Allaacuteh curse Abu Sufyaacuten Muaacutewiya

ويزيد ابن معاوية عليهم منك اللعنة ابد االبدين and Yaziacuted son of Muaacutewiya an everlasting curse

مروان وهذا يـوم فرحت به آل زياد وآل And this is a day when the family of Ziyaacuted was happy and the family of Marwaacuten

بقتلهم احلسني صلوات اهللا عليه because of their murder of Husayn blessings of Allaacuteh be on him

والعذاب االليم اللـهم فضاعف عليهم اللعن منك O Allaacuteh so increase the curse on them from You and the painful punishment

اللـهم اين اتـقرب اليك يف هذا اليـوم ويف موقفي هذاO Allaacuteh I seek nearness to You on this day and in this position

هم واللعنة عليهم وايام حيايت بالرباءة منـ and for the rest of my life through disassociating with them (the enemies) and cursing

them

عليهم وبالمواالة لنبيك وآل نبيك عليه وعليهم السالم


and through the love of Your Prophet and his family peace be on them

اللـهم العن اول ظامل ظلم حق حممد وآل حممدO Allaacuteh curse the first tyrant who oppressed the right of Muhammad and his family

وآخر تابع له على ذلك and the next who followed him on that

اللـهم العن العصابة اليت جاهدت احلسني عليه السالمO Allaacuteh curse the group who fought Husayn

وشايـعت وبايـعت وتابـعت على قـتله and the group which followed and supported and joined hands to kill him

هم مجيعا اللـهم العنـO Allaacuteh curse them all


ذلك وآخر تابع له على and the next who followed him on that




السالم عليك يا ابا عبداهللا Peace be on You O Abu Abdillaacuteh

وعلى االرواح اليت حلت بفنائك and on the souls that died with you


مين سالم اهللا ابدا ما بقيت وبقي الليل والنهار عليك Greetings of Peace of Allaacuteh be on you from me forever so long as I live and so long as

the night and day remain

وال جعله اهللا آخر العهد مين لزيارتكم May Allaacuteh not make it my last contact of ziyaacuterat with you

السالم على احلسني وعلى علي بن احلسني Peace be on Husayn and on Aliacute the son of Husayn

وعلى اوالد احلسني وعلى اصحاب احلسني and on the children of Husayn and the companions of Husayn

اللـهم خص انت اول ظامل باللعن مين وابدأ به اوال O Allaacuteh curse particularly the first tyrant

الثاين والثالث والرابع ) العن (اوال مث then the second the third and the fourth

اللـهم العن يزيد خامسا والعن عبـيد اهللا بن زيادO Allaacuteh curse the fifth one Yaziacuted and Ubaidallaacuteh bin Ziyaacuted

وثـبت يل قدم صدق عندك مع احلسني واصحاب احلسني and strengthen for me a truthful stand with You with Husayn and the companions of

Husayn

بذلوا مهجهم دون احلسني عليه السالم الذين who sacrificed everything for Husayn peace be on him

وما ختفي الصدور ويا من يـعلم خائنة االعني O One who knows the treachery of the eyes and what the chests hide (4019)

ويا من ال ختفى عليه خافيه O One from whom no secret is hidden

يا من ال تشتبه عليه االصوات O One whom many voices do not obscure

ويا من ال تـغلطه احلاجات O One whom many requests do not cause Him to err

ويا من ال يـربمه احلاح الملحني O One whom the requests of the persistent ones do not tire

وتيا مدرك كل فـ O the Perceiver of everything that has passed


ويا جامع كل مشلand the Uniter of every re‐unification

ويا بارئ النـفوس بـعد الموت O the Raiser of souls after death

يا من هو كل يـوم يف شأنO One who every day manifests (new) splendour (5529)

يا قاضى احلاجات O the Fulfiller of requests

يا منـفس الكربات O the Remover of distresses

يا معطي السؤالت O the Granter of wishes

يا ويل الرغبات O the Guardian of desires

المهمات يا كاىف O Who is sufficient for all concerns

يا من يكفي من كل شى O Who is sufficient for everythinghellip

وال يكفي منه شيء and nothing is sufficient without Him

يف السماوات واالرض in the Heavens and the earth

اسالك حبق حممد خامت النبيني وعلي امري المؤمنني I ask You for the sake of Muhammad seal of the Prophets and Ali the Commander of

the Faithful


وحبق فاطمة بنت نبيك and for the sake of Fatima daughter of Your Prophet

وحبق احلسن واحلسني and for the sake of Hassan and Husayn

ه اليك يف مقامي هذا فاين م اتـوجWith them I turn towards You in this position

وم اتـوسل وم اتشفع اليك and through them I petition and seek intercession with You

وحبقهم اسألك واقسم واعزم عليك and for their sake I ask You and vow and earnestly beg You

وبالشأن الذي هلم عندك وبالقدر الذي هلم عندك and (for the sake of) their status with You and the rank they have with You

وبالذي فضلتـهم على العالمني through which You have favored them over the worlds

وبامسك الذي جعلته عندهم And through Your name which You have placed with them

وبه خصصتـهم دون العالمني And through it You chose them beside all others

وبه ابـنتـهم وابـنت فضلهم And through it You have praised them and praised their excellence

من فضل العالمني over the excellence of the (people of the) worlds

حىت فاق فضلهم فضل العالمني مجيعا until their excellence surpassed the excellence of all (the people of the) worlds


اسالك ان تصلي على حممد وآل حممدI ask You to bless Muhammad and Muhammads family

وان تكشف عين غمي ومهي وكريبand remove from me my sorrows my anxiety and my troubles

وتكفيىن المهم من اموريAnd suffice for me in my important affairs

ر وتـقضي عين ديين و جتريين من الفق and fulfill my debts and set me free from poverty

وجتريين من الفاقة and keep me away from hunger

وتـغنيين عن المسألة اىل الخملوقني and free me from the need to ask the created ones

مهه وتكفيين هم من اخاف and spare me from the grief of one from whom I fear grief

وعسر من اخاف عسره the difficulty of one from whom I fear difficulty

وحزونة من اخاف حزونـته the severity of one from whom I fear severity

ره وشر من اخاف ش the evil of one from whom I fear evil

ومكر من اخاف مكره the scheme of one whose scheme I fear

وبـغي من اخاف بـغيه the oppression of one whose oppression I fear


و جور من اخاف جوره the injustice of one whose injustice I fear

وسلطان من اخاف سلطانه the authority of one whose authority I fear

وكيد من اخاف كيده the deceit of one whose deceit I fear

ومقدرة من اخاف مقدرته علي the power of one whose power I fear

وتـرد عين كيد الكيدة Keep away from me the deceit of the deceitful

ومكر المكرة and the conspiracy of the conspirer

اللـهم من ارادين فارده O Allaacuteh whoever wishes me evil wish him evil

ومن كادين فكده and whoever deceives me deceive him

واصرف عين كيده ومكره وبأسه وامانيه Keep away from me his deceit his conspiracy his harm and his aspirations (against me)

وامنـعه عين كيف شئت واىن شئت Prevent him from me however You wish and whenever You wish

اللـهم اشغله عين بفقر ال جتبـره O Allaacuteh divert his attention from me through poverty which You do not remove

وببالء ال تستـره difficulties which You do not conceal


وبفاقة ال تسدهاhunger which You do not stop

وبسقم ال تعافيه disease which You do not cure

وذل ال تعزه disgrace which You do not raise

ومبسكنة ال جتبـرهاmisery which You do not remove

نـيه اللـهم اضرب بالذل نصب عيـO Allaacuteh strike him with disgrace meant for him

وادخل عليه الفقر يف منزله and expose him to poverty in his home

والعلة والسقم يف بدنه and disease and sickness in his body

له حىت تشغله عين بشغل شاغل ال فراغ until You divert him from me absorbed in his own pursuits from which there is no

repose

وانسه ذكري كما انسيته ذكرك and make him forget me as You have caused him to forget You

وخذ عين بسمعه وبصره ولسانه ويده Take away from me (the evil effects of) his sight his hearing his tongue his hand

ورجله وقـلبه ومجيع جوارحه his feet his heart and all his organs

وادخل عليه يف مجيع ذلك السقم


وال تشفه And give him sickness in all of that and do not cure him

حىت جتعل ذلك له شغال شاغال به عين وعن ذكريUntil that diverts him completely from me and (diverts him ) from remembering me

واكفين يا كايف ماال يكفي سواك Suffice for me O One who is sufficient nothing else suffices apart from You

فانك الكايف ال كاىف سواك For surely You are The Sufficient One none other is sufficient other than You

ومفرج ال مفرج سواك The Reliever there is no reliever other than You

ومغيث ال مغيث سواك The Helper there is no helper other than You

وجار ال جار سواك The Near One none else is nearer than You

خاب من كان جاره سواك Disappointed is he who gets close to one other than You

ومغيثه سواك and whose helper is other than You

ومفزعه اىل سواك whose refuge is in other than You

ومهربه اىل سواك whose retreat is in other than You

وملجأه اىل غريك whose shelter is other than You


ومنجاه من خملوق غريك whose resort is in creatures rather than You

فانت ثقيت ورجائي ومفزعي ومهريب وملجئي ومنجاى Surely You are my confidante my hope my refuge my retreat my resort

فبك استـفتح وبك استـنجح Therefore through You I seek progress

ه اليك واتـوسل واتشفع ومبحمد وآل حممد اتـوجand through Muhammad and the family of Muhammad I turn towards You and I

petition and I seek intercession

فاسالك يا اهللا يا اهللا يا اهللا So I ask You O Allaacuteh O Allaacuteh O Allaacuteh

فـلك احلمد ولك الشكر For You is all Praise and for You is all Thanks

واليك المشتكى وانت المستعان And to You (only) is the complain And You (alone) are the Helper

يا اهللا فاسالك يا اهللا يا اهللا So I ask You O Allaacuteh O Allaacuteh O Allaacuteh

حبق حممد وآل حممدfor the sake of Muhammad and Muhammads family

ان تصلي على حممد وآل حممدbless Muhammad and Muhammads family

ريب يف مقامي هذاوان تكشف عين غمي ومهي وك and remove from me my grief My worries and my difficulties in this position

ه و كربه كما كشفت عن نبيك مهه وغمthe way You removed from Your Messenger his grief his worries and his difficulties


ه هول عدوه وكفيت and spared him from the terror of his enemies

فاكشف عين كما كشفت عنه So remove from me the way You removed from him

وفـرج عين كما فـرجت عنه and relieve me the way You relieved him

يته واكفين كما كف and suffice for me the way You sufficed for him

واصرف عين هول ما اخاف هوله Turn away from me the terror that I fear

ومؤنة ما اخاف مؤنـته And the burden that I fear

وهم ما اخاف مهه the grief that I fear

بال مؤنة على نـفسي من ذلك without burdening me with that

واصرفين بقضاء حوائجيand fulfill my wishes

وكفاية ما امهين مهه and suffice for me what is important for me

من امر آخريت ودنياى of my affairs of the Hereafter and the world

يا امري المؤمنني ويا ابا عبداهللا O Ameerul Mumineen O Abu Abdillah


عليكما مين سالم اهللا On you two be Allaacutehs peace (salutation) from me

ابدا ما بقيت وبقي الليل والنهار forever so long as I remain and the night and day remains

وال جعله اهللا آخر العهد من زيارتكماMay Allaacuteh not make this my last contact with you

نكما وال فـرق اهللا بـيين وبـيـand may Allaacuteh not separate between us

حياة حممد وذريته اللـهم احيين O Allaacuteh make me live the life of Muhammad and his progeny

وامتين مماتـهم وتـوفين على ملتهم and make me die like their death and take my soul while I am on their religion

واحشرين يف زمرم and raise me in their company

نـهم طرفة عني وال تـفرق بـيين وبـيـDo not separate me from them for a blink of an eye

نيا واالخرة ابدا يف الدforever in this world or in the Hereafter

عبداهللا يا امري المؤمنني ويا ابا O Ameerul Mumineen O Abu Abdillah

اتـيتكما زائرا ومتـوسال اىل اهللا ريب وربكماI came to You as a visitor petitioning Allaacuteh my Lord and your Lord

ومتـوجها اليه بكما ومستشفعا بكما اىل اهللا turning towards Him through you two seeking your intercession with Allaacuteh


تعاىل يف حاجيت هذه the Exalted for my wishes

فاشفعا يل فان لكما عند اهللا المقام الحممود So intercede for me for surely you two have a praiseworthy position with Allaacuteh

واجلاه الوجيه and distinguished honor

والمنزل الرفيع والوسيلة and exalted rank and the means

ز احلاجة اين انـقلب عنكما منتظرا لتـنجI return from you waiting for the realization and fulfillment of my wishes

وقضائها وجناحها من اهللا and their success from Allaacuteh

بشفاعتكما يل اىل اهللا يف ذلك through your intercession with Allaacuteh for me in that

فال اخيب So let me not be disappointed

قلبا خائبا خاسرا قليب منـ وال يكون منـand let not my returning be that of a disappointment a loss

قلبا راجحا قليب منـ )راجيا (بل يكون منـ rather let my return be hopeful successful

جحا مستجابا بقضاء مجيع حوائجيمفلحا من victorious granted having all my wishes fulfilled

وتشفعا يل اىل اهللا and interceding for me with Allaacuteh


انـقلبت على ما شاء اهللا I return on whatever Allaacuteh wishes

اال باهللا وال حول وال قـوة There is no power or strength except with Allaacuteh

مفوضا امري اىل اهللا entrusting my affair to Allaacuteh

ملجأ ظهري اىل اهللا having recourse in Allaacuteh

متـوكال على اهللا relying on Allaacuteh

واقول حسيب اهللا I say sufficient for me and enough is Allaacuteh

ع اهللا لمن دعا وكفى مس Allaacuteh listens to whoever calls

ليس يل وراء اهللا ووراءكم يا ساديت منتهىI have no goal beyond Allaacuteh and beyond you O my masters

يشأ مل يكن ما شاء ريب كان ومامل Whatever Allaacuteh wishes will happen and whatever He does not wish will not happen

وال حول وال قـوة اال باهللا There is no power or strength except with Allaacuteh

اليكمااستـودعكما اهللا وال جعله اهللا آخر العهد مين I bid farewell to you May Allaacuteh not let this be my last pledge to you

انصرفت يا سيدي يا امري المؤمنني I turn away O my master Ameerul Mumineen


وموالي وانت يا ابا عبداهللا يا سيديand you O Abu Abdillah my master

وسالمي عليكما متصل Salutations from me on you both continuously

ما اتصل الليل والنهار واصل ذلك اليكما so long as night and day continue

ر حمجوب عنكما سالمي ان شاء اهللا غيـ May the greetings reach you not be hidden from you if Allaacuteh wills

واسأله حبقكما ان يشاء ذلك ويـفعل And I ask Him for your sake that He may will that and do that

فانه محيد جميد For surely He is the Praise worthy the Glorious

انـقلبت يا سيدى عنكما تائبا حامدا هللا I return from you O my master repentant praising Allaacuteh

شاكرا راجيا لالجابة thanking (Him) hoping for an answer

ر آيس وال قانط تائبا عائدا راجعا غيـتكمااىل زيار

not despairing nor disheartened returning often to your ziyarat

ر راغب عنكما وال من زيارتكما غيـnot tired of you nor of your ziyarat

بل راجع عائد ان شاء اهللا But will return if Allaacuteh wills

ال باهللا وال حول وال قـوة ا There is no power or strength except with Allaacuteh


يا ساديت رغبت اليكما واىل زيارتكماO my masters I have preferred you and your ziyarat

نيا بـعد ان زهد فيكما ويف زيارتكما اهل الدeven though people of the world have turned away from you and your ziyarat

فال خيبين اهللا ما رجوت so may Allaacuteh not disappoint me from what I hope

وما املت يف زيارتكما انه قريب جميب and desire through your ziyarat Surely He is NearEver‐Answering

انا لله و انا اليه راجعون Surely we come from Allaacuteh and to Him we shall return (2156)

رضا بقضائه و تسليما ألمره Being pleased with His decree and submitting to His orders

وة اهللا السالم عليك يا وارث آدم صف Peace be on you O inheritor of Aacutedam the chosen one of Allaacuteh

السالم عليك يا وارث نوح نىب اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Nuh the Prophet of Allaacuteh

السالم عليك يا وارث ابراهيم خليل اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Ibraacutehim the Friend of Allaacuteh

السالم عليك يا وارث موسى كليم اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Muacutesaacute who talked with Allaacuteh

السالم عليك يا وارث عيسى روح اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Isaacute the Spirit of Allaacuteh

السالم عليك يا وارث حممد حبيب اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Muhammad the beloved of Allaacuteh


السالم عليك يا وارث على امري المؤمنني وىل اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Amiacuteril Mursquominiacuten the friend of Allaacuteh

السالم عليك يا وارث احلسن الشهيد سبط رسول اهللا Peace be on you O inheritor of Hasan the martyr the grandson of the Messenger of

السالم عليك يا بن البشري النذير وابن سيد الوصيني Peace be on you O son of the Bearer of good news the Warner and the son of the

الم عليك يا ابا عبد اهللا الس Peace be on you O Abu Abdillaacuteh

السالم عليك يا خيـرة اهللا وابن خيـرته Peace be on you O the chosen one of Allaacuteh and the son of His chosen one

السالم عليك يا ثار اهللا وابن ثاره Peace be on you O fighter in the way of Allaacuteh and son of a fighter in His way

السالم عليك ايـها الوتـر الموتور Peace be on you O one who was left alone by the murder of relatives

زكى السالم عليك ايـها االمام اهلادى ال Peace be on you O the Imaacutem the pious Guide

وعلى ارواح حلت بفنآئك and on the souls who died with you

واقامت ىف جوارك ووفدت مع زوارك


and stayed in your vicinity and arrived in the presence of your visitors

السالم عليك مىن ما بقيت وبقى الليل والنهار Peace be on you from me so long as I live and so long as the night and day remain

فـلقد عظمت بك الرزية Surely great was the grief on account of you

ب ىف المؤمنني والمسلمني وجل المصا and heavy is the sorrow for the believers the Muslims

وىف اهل السموات امجعني وىف سكـان االرضني the dwellers of the heavens and the dwellers of the earth

راجعون فانا هللا وانا اليه Surely we come from Allaacuteh and to Him we shall return

وصلوات اهللا وبـركاته وحتياته عليك May Allaacutehs blessings favour and greetings be on you

وعلى آبآئك الطاهرين الطيبني المنتجبني and on your forefathers the Purified the Noble the Chosen

وعلى ذراريهم اهلداة المهديني and on their progeny the Guides who are guided

السالم عليك يا موالى وعليهم Peace be on you O my Master and on them

حهم وعلى روحك وعلى اروا and on your soul and their souls

وعلى تـربتك وعلى تـربتهم and on your grave and their graves

اللـهم لقهم رمحة ورضوانا وروحا ورحيانا O Allaacuteh greet them with mercy pleasure happiness and peace


السالم عليك يا موالى يا ابا عبداهللا يا بن خامت النبيني Peace be on You O my Master O Abu Abdillaacuteh son of the seal of the Prophets

ويا بن سيد الوصيني ويا بن سيدة نسآء العالمني son of the chief of the successors and son of the chief of the women of the worlds

السالم عليك يا شهيد يا بن الشهيد Peace be on you O martyr son of a martyr

يا اخ الشهيد يا ابا الشهدآء brother of a martyr father of martyrs

بـلغه عىن ىف هذه الساعة وىف هذا اليـوم اللـهم O Allaacuteh convey to him from me in this hour and on this day

وىف هذا الوقت وىف كل وقت حتية كثرية وسالما at this time and every time many greetings and salutations

اهللا عليك ورمحة اهللا وبـركاته يا بن سيد العالمني سالم Peace be on you and the mercy of Allaacuteh and His blessings O son of the chief of the

worlds

وعلى المستشهدين معك and on those who sought martyrdom with you

متصال ما اتصل الليل والنهار سالما a peace forever so long as the night and day succeed each other

السالم على احلسني بن على الشهيد Peace be on Husayn son of Aliacute the martyr

الشهيد السالم على على بن احلسني Peace be on Aliacute son of Husayn the martyr

السالم على العباس بن امري المؤمنني الشهيد Peace be on Abbaacutes son of Amiacuteril Muminiacuten the martyr


السالم على الشهدآء من ولد امري المؤمنني Peace be on the martyrs from the sons of Amiacuteril Mursquominiacuten

السالم على الشهدآء من ولد احلسن Peace be on the martyrs from the sons of Hasan

السالم على الشهدآء من ولد احلسني Peace be on the martyrs from the sons of Husayn

على الشهدآء من ولد جعفر وعقيل السالم Peace be on the martyrs from the sons of Jafar and Aqiacutel

السالم على كل مستشهد معهم من المؤمنني Peace be on those martyred with them from the believers

مد وآل حممداللـهم صل على حم O Allaacuteh bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وبـلغهم عىن حتية كثرية وسالما and convey to them from me many greetings and salutations

السالم عليك يا رسول اهللا Peace be on you O Messenger of Allaacuteh

احسن اهللا لك العزآء ىف ولدك احلسني May Allaacuteh grant you the best of consolation on [the loss of] your son Husayn

السالم عليك يا فاطمة Peace be on You O Faacutetima

العزآء ىف ولدك احلسني احسن اهللا لك May Allaacuteh grant you the best of consolation on [the loss of] your son Husayn

السالم عليك يا امري المؤمنني Peace be on you O Amiacuteral Mursquominiacuten



السالم عليك يا ابا حممد احلسن Peace be on You O Abu Muhammad al‐Hasan

احسن اهللا لك العزآء ىف اخيك احلسني May Allaacuteh grant you the best of consolation on [the loss of] your brother Husayn

يا موالى يا ابا عبداهللا O my Master O Abu Abdillaacuteh

فك وجار اهللا وجارك انا ضيف اهللا وضيـI am the guest of Allaacuteh and your guest and am close to Allaacuteh and close to you

ل ضيف وجار قرى ولك and for every guest and close one there is a welcome

وقراى ىف هذا الوقت ان تسئل اهللا سبحانه وتعاىلand my welcome at this moment is that you pray to Allaacuteh the Glorified the Elevated

رقـبىت من النار ان يـرزقىن فكاك that He grant me safety from the fire

انه مسيع الدعآء قريب جميب Surely He listens to prayers is Near ever‐Answering
