To be held at Amdavad ni Gufa, the Art Show will have interesting interpretations expressed through paintings, sculp- tures, photographs, even garments and jewellery. A city founded in the 15th century by Sultan Ahmed Shah on the banks of Sabar- mati river, Ahmedabad has seen and embraced many a change. While the Old City continues to retain its charm, and intrigue the visitor, the city continues to grow beyond imagination. It is this imagination that manifests itself and puts forth an Ahmedabad seen through some of the city’s artistically bril- liant minds. These artists you see along side have painted their thoughts, sculpted their vision and woven their ideas of what Ahmedabad stands for to- day. So, you have the pol houses but you have the highrises too, you have the bridges that connect and you have the differences that divide. Ahmedabad is growing not just in size but also in the sphere of art and culture. It is the charm therein that Ahmedabad Mirror wants to share with every Amdavadi to help not just see and un- derstand, but enjoy the spirit behind this Art Show. —Anurita Rathore INSTITUTES INSTITUTE OF DESIGN EXPRESSION ART AND LEARNING NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN Amit Ambalal Bhairavi Modi Gajendra Shah Haku Shah Hindol Brahmbhatt Manhar Kapadia Manish Modi Milan Desai Mukti Chauhan Nabibaksh Mansuri Natu Mistry Natu Parikh Pravin Mishra Suresh Sheth Vrindavan Solanki Ratilal Kansodaria Vyom Mehta Shekhar Mukherjee Photography - Shilpa Gavane, Ankita Asthana, Priyanka Oberoi, Anjali Gopan, Nikita Dutt, Maniyarasan R, Jaimin Bhavsar, Prabuddha Paul Department of Ceramics and Glass with artisan Rajesh Kumar from Ferozabad PAINTERS SCUPLTORS Bansi Khatri Bhanu Shah Asha Mandapa Seema Agrawal Department of Fashion Design Department of Lifestyle Accessory Design Get a brief idea of what went into the artists’ minds as they sat down to express their vision of 600 years of Ahmedabad, specially for the Ahmedabad Mirror Art Show.
