Alon Orion – User Experience Design

Page 2: Alon Orion-UX Design

A computer application needs a UX designer, just like

a house requires an architect. The designer should be

part of the team from the very beginning.

User scenarios and application simulations help define

a better product. Quick design iterations form the

basis for focused team discussions.

The pixel-perfect simulation can serve as a

requirement document for coding.

The designer’s challenge is to combine technological

capabilities with user requirements so as to create

intuitive and friendly products.

It is not a problem, but a riddle.

Following are some of the solutions I have designed.

Page 4: Alon Orion-UX Design

Pharmaceutical Reference System

Solution:

The search runs on

type, shape and color

categories.

Results show large

photographs and

minimal text.

Hovering over a

specific pill shows

more details.

Clicking on a pill

navigates to the full

data page.

Requirement:

Enable urgent identification of pills in Emergency Rooms and Pharmacies.

Silicon Wafer Quality Inspector

Solution:

Wizard-type arrow

buttons guide the

beginners, while

specific action

tool-bars are

available for

advanced users.

Requirement:

Ease inspection and selection of fault correction processes.

3D Photo Maker

Solution:

Separate applications

for the three user

types: Photographer,

Designer and Printer.

Requirement:

Design process for creating, editing and printing 3D photographs.

Forest Management System

Solution:

The main image is

set above three

reference areas.

Accordion type

drawers on the left

provide access to

the main processes.

Buttons on the right

change according to

the selected process.

Requirement:

Simplify the process of reference definition, tree counting and report generation.

Hospital Ward Management System

Solution:

Based on

architectural floor

plans, color-coded

beds provide an

overview of the

ward’s status.

Drag and drop

interaction is used

for changes and

transfer of patients.

Requirement:

Quick insight and control for overworked hospital staff.

Portfolio Management System

Solution:

Flexible platform

with user-defined

categories is used

for data collection.

Values are

summarized and

shown as bubbles in

4-axes graphs.

Animating status

snapshots exposes

trends and provides

insight.

Requirement:

Measuring the status and relevance of multiple enterprise projects.

Workflow System

Solution:

Flexible and powerful

editor for creating user-

defined diagrams, steps

and tasks.

Data-based Condition

Steps enable automatic

flow in addition to

manual Decision Steps.

The diagrams provide an

overview of the process

while the system

generates tasks and

notifies predetermined

users.

Requirement:

Orchestrating complex business processes in enterprise organizations.

Visual Update

Requirement:

Create new look for existing enterprise applications.

Every development process is different

Your technology and requirements are specific

Your riddle deserves a specialized solution

Your application should stand out

Your design should be unique
