CORE VALUE #1
We Desire to Reveal God’s Glory
“Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I
formed and made.” - Isaiah 43:7
At Tabernacle, we teach that as believers our primary goal at all times should be to bring God glory. We do this by
weaving theology through every aspect of our church. Worship songs are chosen
that point to God’s glory, sermons are preached with a God-centric view, and we often challenge the congregation to push beyond personal preferences to
the greater message: God’s Glory.

I AM Statements Book of John
“I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who
believes in Me shall never thirst” John 6:35
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” - John 8:12
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and
out and find pasture” - John 10:9
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” - John 10:11
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though
he may die, he shall live” - John 11:25
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” - John 14:6
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser” - John 15:1
6
CORE VALUE #2
We Desire to Know and Proclaim the Gospel
“The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe
in the Gospel.” - Mark 1:15
THE GOSPEL IS MORE THAN JUST SOMETHING WE ACCEPT.
It’s more than a thought, concept, abstraction, or theory. It’s the life-altering good news of what Christ did for us – and at Tabernacle,
we believe it needs to be shared!
7
Know the GOSPEL Ephesians 2:4-10
G – GOD’S CHARACTERO – OFFENSE OF SINS – SUFFICIENCY OF CHRISTP – PERSONAL RESPONSEE – ETERNAL URGENCYL – LIFE TRANSFORMATION
8
Proclaim the GOSPEL“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
THIS IS CALLED THE GREAT COMMISSION, WHICH IS OUR COMMANDMENT TO GO AND
SHARE THE GOSPEL.
HERE’S HOW WE ARE SHARING THE GOSPEL AROUND THE WORLD:
• Daily Evangelism in everyday life• Ennis - Through Beach Clubs (Bible clubs)
in our local school system that allow us to share the gospel with children.
• Ecuador - Mission teams going and ministering and sharing the gospel.
• Indonesia - By adopting an unreached people group and sending mission
teams to share the gospel.• By supporting missionaries
financially around the world.• And by much more…
9
CORE VALUE #3
We Desire to be Transformed
“Therefore if anybody is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone and the
new has come!” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
THE GOSPEL BEGINS THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS
•You don’t fix your life THEN find Jesus
•Come to him as you are and because of the Gospel and because of him, you
have the power to be transformed
HOW?
• The process is a process through the Holy Spirit
• We worship God and see more of who He really is
• We commit to biblical fellowship and personal accountability
• The church body is important in providing support & encouragement
10
The greatest way to find transformation at Tabernacle is by joining one of our small groups. We have two types: Bible study on Sunday mornings and in home life groups, most of which meet Sunday night. Our groups strive to care for one another, seek transformation by open group discussion and serve the community. All of our groups can be found at: https://tabernaclegroups.churchcenter.com/groups
11
CORE VALUE #4
We Desire to Multiply by Making Disciples“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very
end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
•What is a disciple?
•More than a program
•Taking the first step
•Heart of a disciple maker
At Tabernacle we believe all Christians are called to be disciples. We reinforce that belief through Bible study, worship and some amazing resources, which you can find on the HUB or on our website.
12
CORE VALUE #5
We Desire to Follow God’s Word
“All scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good
work.” - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
TABERNACLE DOES THIS BY USING EXPOSITORY PREACHING FROM THE PULPIT.
“Expository preaching grounds the message in the text so that all the sermon’s points are the points in the text, and it majors in the texts’ major ideas. It aligns the
interpretation of the text with the doctrinal truths of the rest of the Bible. And it
always situates the passage within the Bible’s narrative, showing how Christ is the final fulfillment of the text’s theme”
-- Tim Keller
Why is God’s Word so important to us?1. Your faith will grow2. You will be equipped to fight the enemy3. You will better understand God’s will for your life
13
CORE VALUE #6
We Desire to Invest into the Body of Christ“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on
this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” -
Matthew 16:18
•It’s God’s chosen vessel… and it will not fail
•The church is the body of Christ, not this building
•The church is where God gathers us together, gifts us and then uses
those gifts to bring Him glory
•You were not made to live your Christian life alone.
AT TABERNACLE, WE WANT EVERY PERSON TO USE THEIR SPECIAL GIFTS FOR GOD’S
GLORY! FIND OUT MORE ABOUT OUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT.
14
CORE VALUE #7
We Desire to Serve Wholeheartedly
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his
life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:35
•Jesus Himself came to serve
•We are to consider others more important than ourselves
•We are to use our gifts to serve others
WE WANT TO GIVE YOU EVERY
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE
Here are a few of our largest ministries:• First Impressions Team• Safety Team• Kidstown Ministry• Student Minsitry• Ministry Teams

CORE VALUE #8
We Desire to Experience Family
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie
them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them
on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
TABERNACLE IS A FAMILY
•We are to consider others more important than ourselves
•We are to use our gifts to serve others
