•Wear a lab apron to prevent chemicals or chemical solutions from contacting your skin or street clothes.

•Label everything!

•Do not conduct your own experiments unless approved by your instructor.

•Report any chemical spill to your teacher immediately!

•Sometimes a lab may not turn out as your predicted. It is not the end of the world if your results do not support your hypothesis. You may learn more from getting nothing than if your experiment went exactly as planned… That’s the thrill of scientific discovery!!!

•Use extreme care with all sharp instruments such as scalpels, sharp probes, knives, etc.

•Diligently take notes during any lab activity. Your observations will be extremely important when writing your lab report and identifying any potential sources of error.
