Denmark-Olar School District 2 of Bamberg County Request for

Construction of a New School Facility in Denmark, SC Offer
Submission, Proposals will be accepted until February 28, 2018 – no
later than 4:00pm. Please email your proposal to Rodney Anderson at
[email protected] and Kyle Michel at [email protected]
. Questions regarding this RFP should be directed to: Rodney

located at 197 Viking Circle, Denmark, SC 29042. Construction is

Project will involve the construc-tion of 66,000 square feet of new
K-6 school facility space built to adjoin 98,000 square feet of
existing building space, which will be renovated to house grades 7
through 12. It is possible that 7,500 additional square feet of new
construction will be built to adjoin existing space. In addition,
school amenities, including sports facilities, a playground, and an
auxiliary storage building will also be constructed. The Project
will be built in phases, as the existing campus will remain
occupied. This will impact testing sched-ules/frequencies. The
civil will be split into two major phases, the initial new
construction phase and then the renovation of existing space phase.
During the second phase, the existing space will be divided by
wing. Each Phase will require the fire sprinkler, fire alarm,
emergency lighting, and deficiency logs (provided by inspector)
reviewed. There will be potentially 5 OSF Overhead inspections and
5 OSF final inspections due to the phasing and the need to “open
one and close one.” The Project is being financed with a guaranteed
loan from the United States Department of Agriculture. USDA will
require 3 onsite inspections per week, although the inspector may
determine that additional inspections are required some weeks. The
inspector selected will be required to execute required USDA
certifications and meet USDA requirements for businesses receiving
federal funds. Eligibility and General Proposal Requirements (see
RFP for full requirements) Proposers must be listed on the South
Carolina Department of Education Office of School Facilities (OSF)

OSF requirements for independent inspectors of public school

information on the inspector/company proposing the services and
experience in providing 3rd party, independent inspection services
for school facility construction in South Carolina. The proposal
should include estimated hours for each phase, including travel
time and an overall estimation of cost with a minimum/maximum cost
projection.
