Focussing on providing cutting-edge innovation, we recruited an additional 35 extra develop-ment engineers in the last few years, extending our „Product Development department“ to 80 members.

Flex-Display As an option, the Premium-Class can also be equipped with the Flex-Display instead of the standard display that is fixed with the housing of the autoclave. In this case the autoclave is connected via a 1.5 metre long cable to the display, which can be mounted on the wall or be set up on or near by the autoclave. Premium-Plus-ClassThe autoclaves of our new Premium-Plus-Class are still the benchmark for all class B autoclaves. With their twin-chamber-technology, the biggest colour-touch-display and the possibility of releasing sterilization and evaluating the batch-control-system on the autoclave’s screen, they set new standards on the market. A class B cycle takes 19 minutes to sterilize and dry wrapped instruments and only 11 minutes for unwrapped instruments.The clearance, labelling and traceability of wrapped sterilized equipment is facilitated with the barcode label printer MELAprint 60 which can be connected directly to autoclaves of the Premium-Plus-Class (for further information, see page 28: Documentation).

Pro-ClassThe thousand-fold practice-tested autoclaves of the Pro-Class are characterized by short program cycles, ease of operation and simple documentation. Unwrapped instruments needed quickly are available in only 15 minutes, including fractionated pre-vacuum. Wrapped instruments require 38-48 minutes depending on the load. The quick program B sterilizes up to 1.5 Kg of wrapped instruments in only 28 minutes (plus drying). When connected to a MELAnet box, the autoclave sends the program cycle data directly to the practice network. Documentation can also be per-formed using the MELAflash CF-Card printer, the software for documentation and clearence MELAtrace or the log printer MELAprint 42.

MELAquick® 12+Requirements for the preparation of dental instruments are defined by official hygiene experts. Instruments for “semicritical” use have to be prepared and treated after each patient, preferably in a validated, mechanized process. These compact quick autoclaves are conform to the European standard EN 13060 and help save the practice time and money with its processing of handpieces that conform to the hygiene standards. Up to 12 hand pieces, prophylaxis instruments and much more can be sterilized in only 7 minutes in between patient treatment. The MELAquick 12+ and MELAquick 12+ p represent the ideal alternative to the sterilization of transfer instruments in a normal practice autoclave with its longer operating times.There are three S-Class programs available: A quick-program for unwrapped instruments and two programs for wrapped instruments. An efficient drying takes place by connecting the MELAquick 12+ to the compressed air supply of the practice in the preparation room. MELAquick 12+ p has a built-in compressor pump which permits operation of the autoclave irrespective of location.Installation requires only an electric socket, the supply with demineralized water from a water treatment system is possible.MELAquick 12+ requires a considerably smaller setup surface - 20.5 x 45 cm (w x D) as other autoclaves.MELAquick 12+ provides comprehensive opportunities for documentation:choose from the log printer MELAprint 42 or the MELAflash CF-Card printer, the MELAnet-Box for network connection up to batch clearance, traceability and labelling of the wrapped instruments with MELAtrace.

S-ClassThe many thousands of S-Class autoclaves proven reliable in practice fulfil all stipulations of the European standard EN 13060. They can be used to sterilize single wrapped instruments and simple hollow instruments such as scissors, acutenacula, transfer instruments etc. These autocla-ves are also able to sterilize small quantities of single wrapped textiles. Unwrapped instruments are sterilized in only 15 minutes, including single pre-vacuum (Euroklav 23 VS+ / Euroklav 29 VS+). Wrapped instruments require 40 – 50 minutes, depending on the load (inc. drying). The autoclaves Euroklav 23 VS+ and Euroklav 29 VS+ work with a single pre-vacuum and an effective vacuum drying. The Euroklav 23 S+ works with a fractionated gravity system and an effective current drying. When connected to a MELAnet Box, the autoclave sends the program cycle data directly to the practice network. MELAG Cliniclave® 45

Cliniclave® 45: The big autoclaves from MELAG In two versions: as single-door device or as double-door pass-through device „D“.

The sterilization of larger quantities of instruments and textiles and their quick availability is one of the most important requirements in clinics, practices and out-patient centres.

The Cliniclave 45 and Cliniclave 45 D have a capacity of one sterilization unit for up to 35 kg of wrapped instruments or 7 kg of textiles. The Cliniclave 45 M and Cliniclave 45 MD have a capacity of two sterilization units for up to 70 kg of wrapped instruments or 14 kg of textiles.

As a result, these autoclaves outperform many other big-autoclaves. And all that with extremely short operating times: Wrapped instrument-scan be processed in the quick program “B” in a record time of 30 minutes (including drying).

The very large colour-touch-display enables intuitive operation, helping the operator to avoid errors and find all important information.

The documentation and clearance software already installed in permits complete reproducibility and secure traceability. The label-printer MELAprint 60 provides additionaly the labelling and the traceability of wrapped instruments.

All program cycles and information about the clearance can be stored on the MELAflash CF-Card that ist included in the scope of delivery. The Cliniclave 45 and the Cliniclave 45M can be integrated in a network via the built-in Ethernet interface, e. g. for the documentation with MELAtrace.

Both autoclaves comply with the requirements of EN 285 and EN 1717 and they are therefore the ideal sterilizers for group practices, day hospitals, medical care centers etc.

Installation example: Cliniclave 45 MD (double door device) fitted in a partition wall with dust-proof wall cladding on the loading side and the removal side. The wall cladding is included in the scope of delivery of the double door steam sterilizer.

The pass-through steam sterilizers Cliniclave 45 D and Cliniclave 45 MD have been designed for clinics and practices which decontaminate medical products in accordance with the multi-room concept. To this end, our steam sterilizers are fitted with a door on both the loading side and the removal side. The door hinge can be placed on either the right or left-hand side. The scope of delivery includes the requisite wall claddings made of high-quality stainless steel to enable contamination-free installation in a dividing wall. Any wall breakthroughs are to be performed on the customer side in accordance with MELAG specifications.

The delivery, connection, commissioning and training is performed by your MELAG-authorized partner. This takes approx. 10 hours.

The Cliniclave 45 D and Cliniclave 45 MD are fitted with the sliding rail “standard”, which is used to insert the tray mount and the sterilization containers on the loading side and remove them from the removal side. MELAG provides a loading system - consisting of loading trolley, the sliding rail “comfort”, a batch slider and the push hook - to facilitate the ergonomic loading of these steam sterilizers.

Basis baskets for MELAtherm®10Depending on the purpose of use, MELAG offers four basis baskets: with injector rail (without filter), with basis basket and central filter and a basis basket without an in-jector rail. The basis baskets with injector rail are equipped with 11 injector nozzles / locking screws or with 11 blind screws. The injector rail can be fitted with various of hollow adapters or with adapters for Luer / Luer-Lock connectors.

We recommend use of the basis basket with an injector rail and central filter for the safe and affordable treatment of a minimum of 6 transfer instruments. A control display indicates the need to replace the central filter.

Automatic treatment of dental ultrasonic and scaler tipsThe standard-compliant and hygiene-safe treatment of ultrasonic tips, air-scaler tips etc. is assuming ever-greater importance. To this end MELAG provides a selection of adapters for the thread sizes of the various manufacturers. These adapters can only be used if the user can ensure filtration of the water flowing through the adapter and through the instrument. To this end, we recommend the injector rail with central filter, if more than 6 hollow instruments are treated. To those using an injector rail without a central filter, we recommend the single filter housing. Should the number of connections available on the injector rail prove to be insufficient, the injector basket Flex 1 can be connected to the injector rail for further universal tips or scaler tips. The connection is made directly with the injector rail with central filter; the injector rail without a filter requires two further single filter housings.

And above all - it is validatable! Ready to operate only 90 seconds after activation. The transparent sterilization packaging (e.g. MELAfol) can be sealed safely without pause in only two seconds. Bacteria filter for MELAdem®47 and MELAdem®55A permissible bacterial load is already present in drinking water. Bacteria levels increase with the time spent unused in the water pipes. The mul-tiplication of bacteria necessitates a bacteria filter. Installed between the water treatment unit MELAdem 47 or MELAdem 55 and the autoclave, the micro-fine bacteria filter significantly reduces the amount of bacteria found in the water.
