Did you know there is a lot of important security informaon and links on the NHW web page of the Orston Parish website? Please have a look! Advice for Residents Affected by the Recent Storms Nonghamshire County Council Trading Standards are warning householders who have been affected by the floods or high winds to be extra vigilant when dealing with potenal traders who appear without prior appointment. Homeowners are advised to speak to their insurance company before engaging any company offering to repair flood or storm damage and be aware of companies offering a ‘quick fix soluon’. The standard advice from Trading Standards is not to deal with ‘cold callers’. Having your home flooded or experiencing storm damage is devastang enough, without risking being ripped off by unscrupulous people. If you have any concerns about ‘cold callers’ or if you need consumer advice then please contact the Cizens Advice Consumer Service on 03454 04 05 06. PLEASE NOTE It ’ s very important to report crimes as otherwise rural communities may not be given the required level of resourcing they deserve.
