What The Hell Is A Twitter?

The Sign up

To Sign up for Twitter go to https://twitter.com and complete the form

Creating Your Account

Having completed the sign up you can create your account

The email Confirmation

To complete your sign up you need to check your email and click on the confirmation link

Your Twitter Homepage

Having clicked the confirmation link you will be taken to your Twitter Home with the Connect, Discover, Me, Search

and Compose links

Edit Your Profile

You should complete your profile and include an avatar

Searching

To find someone to follow you can use the search

Find More People

Use other Twitter User's Follow lists to find other people to follow

Create Lists

Twitter lists enable you to sort tweets according to interest areas. Sue Waters has a great Aussie Educators List

Use Hashtags

Hashtags enable users to thread tweets, create conversations and share content eg #vicpln, #ozteachers, #ozscied, #austl, #slide2learn, #ozpblchat, #edchat and

You can elect to send Direct Messages which are private
