Have you ever wondered did anyone in the world feel the same way that you did about your dreams, passions, and goals? I have been receiving calls and emails that I’m not the only one who has ever felt this way. Many of you have expressed the loneliness that this walk of purpose has produced and the many decisions that you have been required to make in effort to continue to move forward on your individual journey. Many of you have expressed the loss of friends, relationships, jobs and even bad or comfortable habits. Once again I hear you saying that you weren’t warned about that part of the process. H onestly, in certain situations neither was I? I didn’t know if my relationships with people would end on a Monday, Tuesday, or Sunday, but a part of me knew that it was coming and a decision needed to be made of faith. It is the decision to believe in what you and I wrote on that vision board a couple of months ago. It is the decision to follow the passion that you have in the forefront of your mind as you’re reading the title of this newsletter. It is the decision to pursue your goals no matter who leaves, what fails, or what is presented. I am writing this newsletter not from a place ofarrival, but rather from a place of identification. As we continue on our journey it doesn’t matter if this is step one or fi ve! Make the decision and remove what is unnecessary and run, chase, and leap even harder into your PURPOSE! Dear Reader,
Have you ever wondered was there more to life then what you were currently experiencing? Have you ever wondered di
anyone in the world feel the same way that you did about your dreams, passions, and goals? I have been receiving calls and emaithat I’m not the only one who has ever felt this way. Many of you have expressed the loneliness that this walk of purpose ha
produced and the many decisions that you have been required to make in effort to continue to move forward on your individu
journey. Many of you have expressed the loss of friends, relationships, jobs and even bad or comfortable habits. Once again I hear yo
saying that you weren’t warned about that part of the process. Honestly, in certain situations neither was I? I didn’t know if m
relationships with people would end on a Monday, Tuesday, or Sunday, but a part of me knew that it was coming and a decisio
needed to be made of faith. It is the decision to believe in what you and I wrote on that vision board a couple of months ago. It is the
decision to follow the passion that you have in the forefront of your mind as you’re reading the title of this newsletter. It is th
decision to pursue your goals no matter who leaves, what fails, or what is presented. I am writing this newsletter not from a place o
arrival, but rather from a place of identification. As we continue on our journey it doesn’t matter if this is step one or fi ve! Make th
decision and remove what is unnecessary and run, chase, and leap even harder into your PURPOSE!
When God has made us a promise we have to be willing to cut ties with everything and anyonwho God is separating us from to receive it. Take Abraham for example: He was instructed by God to cut ties with his family in order to walk into the Land of Milk and Honey. No one was suppos to go with him but somehow Lot became apart of Abraham's journey. It didn't take long fo Abraham's disobedience to reek havoc, as it became a nuisance for them to continue together. NowI doubt that Abraham was intentional in his disobedience but was rather being "nice" in lettingLot tag along.
We are all guilty of the same thing from time to time. We let people and spirits tag along becauswe are related to them or we don't want to seem mean by declining their presence. There are some people and spirits that we are attached to because of the fellowship we ourselves have had or th fellowship of our predecessors with those spirits. This means we have a relationship, a tie, a bond to things and people that are not God's intention for us in certain seasons. These familiar spiritlend a level of comfort and security especially in a situation such as Abraham's where he wastepping out on God's word into new uncharted territory.
Separating from people we have always hung out with or always had communication with can bhard and seemingly confusing to that person as to what happened to the relationship, but we hav to be willing to do it in order to get what God has for us. It maybe a friend, cousin, or even achurch but know for sure that you have heard the voice of God and keep it moving. Abrahamwasn't mean or rude when him and Lot separated in fact, he pleaded in Genesis 13:8 for there to bno strife between him and Lot or his people and Lots people but to basically understand that thspace wasn't big enough for the both of them.
As we continue to pursue purpose we have to become more familiar with the spirit of God as we arwith kindred spirits of our past. Where you are going is not for everyone and God is not stingyHe's resourceful and mindful not to misplace His blessings for you to others that haven'trightfully earned them.
Today, identify and evaluate the familiar spirits that may not be bad, but bring about a sense ostagnation or comfort and remove yourself from amongst them. If you don't you'll be stuck trying to take back what always belonged to you.
