Global Distribution

• Worlds largest terrestrial carnivore ( 352- 680 kg and 2-3 m in length)

• population size is estimated to be around 20,-25,000

• Hunting , only legal to indigenous people

• Loss of habitat due to Climate change.

• Intake of harmful chemicals
