General Info.• Quarter long courses (~ 9 weeks). • Students rotate to next course on 1st day of

the next quarter. (4 rotations)– Rotations can be found on student schedules.

• There is ample time in class to complete required work.

• Students are expected to use class time wisely & productively to be successful in these classes.

Study Skills (ALL 3 Exploratory Teachers)

• For 6th, 7th, & 8th grade, all during 1st quarter only.– Support students

early in school year– Each year builds

upon the next– Promote skills for

academic success

• Skills include:• Note taking• Organization• Studying• Goal setting • (grades checked

weekly)• Self Advocacy• Speaking

Art (Mrs. Lunde, rm. 104)

• Exposure to art in History, Society, and Everyday Life.

• Introduced to a variety of different materials throughout term.

• Gain experience designing w/ 2D & 3D mediums.

• Daily Journal or Sketchbook (turned in every other week)– Keep track of bell work– Notes for demonstrations– Art Techniques

Research– Being Good Online

Citizens

• Grade levels – 6th= Dynamic Techniques

for Power Point– 7th= Presenting Digitally,

Programming, & Digital Storytelling

– 8th = Focus on Careers & Generating Multimedia Presentations w/ Advanced Technological Skills
