Alderman Pope accused of Mental Cruelty

Happy Monday all!

It appears that there have been some mixed feelings about the material recently posted on Legislative Aid Ms. Melissa Ruvalcaba and her questionable fee waiver she executed when she initiated her divorce. But in the prior posting many mentioned that Ms. Ruvalcaba was not running for office. Yet lets’ all remind ourselves of a number of things. Alderman John A. Pope hired someone who threatened to rape a coworker if she spoke of any of the allegations of sexual harassment.

Pope replaced that aid (i.e. TJ) with a female. Maybe he though replacing his aid with a female would brighten up his image in utilizing the assistance of a female Latina. Apparently Ms. Ruvalcaba has her own dirty laundry to deal with since it’s obvious that she wasn’t successful at tossing out gross misrepresentations of her income behind the people’s back and her failure to successfully finish her divorce.

Alderman Pope on the other hand has been inside of a courtroom himself when he and his wife Deborah ceased cohabiting as husband and wife and then filing for divorce.

Ms. Deborah alleged by way of a “verified pleading” that her husband John A. Pope was “guilty of mental cruelty” (see page 2 paragraph 12). I find it an absolute shame that Mr. Pope was incapable of being the “family oriented guy” he pretends to be.

I direct the audience to take notice that the approximate date of filing of this divorce is February 5th, 2009 per the Circuit Court of Cook County’s records database. In paragraph eleven (11) she also states that she and her husband ceased residing since November 2007 at the time of filing.
Maybe Mr. Pope needed to focus more on his time of promoting his pay-to-play politics, pretending to care about the Petcoke matter, or to deal with his own demons in their totality.
If his own wife who gave him two (2) innocent children can’t keep it together within his home how can he be worthy to be Alderman for another term?

Look at his track record of the following:

1. Hiring individuals who sexually harass their coworkers while on the City of Chicago payroll

2. Look at the issues raised with his staff where Ms. Ruvalcaba put questionable data about her income on court papers

3. Pope’s Failure to sustain his marriage

4. How about the binge drinking allegations? Or supporting a facility that stole hundreds of cars from the very people who trusted him?

How about we look at the real problem…
