Donovan, Alderman José G. Pérez and Milwaukee Police Department District 2’s Captain Alfonso Morales will host a public meeting on the subject of crime issues on the South Side this Wednesday, August 5, 6:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1236 S. Layton Blvd. The safety meeting is a chance for residents to air their concerns to city officials and ask questions about methods of combating neighborhood crime. This is also an opportunity for residents to raise any concerns they might have. “I hope to see many of my neighbors in attendance at the safety meeting on Wednesday,” Alderman Pérez said. “This year’s increase in violent crime is a serious problem for the city, and combatting it in the most effective way possible will involve the complete engagement of our neighborhoods and citizens.” “Along with Alderman Pérez, I am looking forward to hosting this meeting and hearing the thoughts of citizens from Police District 2 on crime prevention and making our community a safer one,” Alderman Donovan said.
